Wait, are you talking about what I think you're talking about? That only pays minimum wage?! What the heck?!

I pretend to shop all day for $12.50/hr. Nowhere near as annoying.

Did you really just figure that out without any kind of back story or extra info?? Forget law school, you should be a detective.

My job title presently is Detective. That's the pay. Hence: law school.

Besides, it's pretty obvious that twinkle is a waitress at Hooters.[/quote]

I wrote a compelling DS with additional photographs.

I have seen Trip's resume and wonder why he hasn't bothered working for the CIA.

What's the thinking with interviews? Are they actually considering everyone they interview or are there people that they interview in preparation for wait listing? In other words, does everyone have the same shot going into the interview?

No, for some the interview is a mere formality, but for some its JS giving you one last shot to fill a hole in your app and push you into the admit pile. It can really be anything, but each of the interviewees shares the fact that JS sees a potential for acceptance.

That's based off of JR's TLS interview from 2010 or so

Most def.

Ph297 wrote:are there people that they interview in preparation for wait listing?
Not like that.

Ph297 wrote:In other words, does everyone have the same shot going into the interview?
No. Historically, I believe, better numbers still fare a little better JS1-->JS2. If you're not a solid candidate, they won't interview you in the first place, though.

You asked two different questions here.

Ph297 wrote:What's the thinking with interviews. Are they actually considering everyone they interview or are they're people that they interview in preparation for wait listing?

They don't interview people in preparation for WL. They would simply WL those people and interview them later. If they are going to take time to interview you, you got a legit shot.

Ph297 wrote: In other words, does everyone have the same shot going into the interview?

No, of course not. TripTrip is well above the LSAT median. I'm one below. Our GPA is the same. We don't have the same shot going into any hypothetical interview.

Furiously knocks on wood

EDIT: Damn. Scooped.

Meanwhile I'm resisting every urge in my body to post a certain picture or any of the myriad of jokes running through my head. In person TLS would be so much more fun. Especially if you can get us a discount on wings...

Thanks!! 850 out of 1200 still sounds pretty good though. There's gotta be a lot of 175/4.0 types that just can't carry a conversation. They'd prob still take numbers over personality though.

I have no idea what to believe any more.

Then again, Trip being a detective would make him breaking into the post office and moving my Columbia letter around much more plausible. But I'm mixing threads here.

Sort of and to a certain extent. In light of USNWRs new modification of the weight of post-LS employment in the rankings (20% - or only 2.5% less than LSAT + GPA combined) numbers will become a very large part of a slightly expanding picture. In other words, they'll be gauging academic ability and employment potential in a more balanced manner. The interview should help them with that.

Starting to see some sub-3.7s (URM and not) getting interviews and acceptances, really encouraging!

Bobloblaw and volp - you're both URM, 3.6x, and 169/168 respectively, right?

Thanks! And yes, I'm 3.6x and 169. It's a ridiculous stretch but I think that I put together a pretty good application.

I was just accepted into the second highest school (Vanderbilt) I applied for and am waiting for the highest to make a decision (UPenn). It was both a blessing and a curse, because now my mom thinks that I have a chance with Harvard (though I don't). Thus I am being forced to apply two days before the deadline

Does anyone know how decreased the chances of being accepted become with this kind of time crunch??

If your an auto admit, none at all. If you're trying to squeak in, probably a bit.

Its all on page 88. But if you're not up for doing that, here are some things they wont ask:

Some say blondes have more fun. From a legal perspective how would you analyze that argument?
Would you ever consider suing the TSA for not frisking you and making you feel left out?
I noticed that you only got an A- in a class you should have milked, how do you explain this udder failure?
If we promise to accept you right now, will you withdraw from Yale? Will you take a loyalty oath?
Weezer: Awesome or awful? There is a correct answer.
If KB: Tell me how happy you are to have gotten me instead of JS.
If you could be a scented candle, which scent and color would it be?
Tell me your opinions on affirmative action, abortion, immigration, and piracy.

I'd be Coco Cinnamon flavored, because its the legitimately hilarious legal name of a client of mine.

And no, I don't work anywhere illicit

....I actually wish those had been the questions! Go chat with JS worm haha

LSAT: 161 (Terrible I know) and GPA: 3.93 (I worked hard for it but not at an ivy league institution...proud alumni anyways~). Also I'm a URM female.

I know that my chances of getting in are somewhere between unlikely and hell no, but I was wondering more about the closeness to the deadline and how that affects it. Thanks for any answers!
