Wow, this is very surprising. Sounds like you are going to have great options anyway, but sorry to hear this.

Wow, I'm so sorry. That is terrifying. In the back of my head, I always hoped that my non-4.0 at an Ivy would give me a bit of a boost. H's loss, though. You are still headed somewhere great.

Thanks for the condolences guys. I'm going to get someone to help me interview this summer so I don't get slaughtered at OCI too -- I don't think I come off as awkward or anything, though? I also think that leaving a grad program, even voluntarily, is a negative soft that makes an Actual Difference in thus numbers-based process.

Hopefully. I find it hard to believe I would have gotten a JS1 in the first place if they didn't take the highest. My average is still a 173, but my GPA + 173 does not make for a very promising JS1 candidate.

Good luck to everyone! FYI, I am a 1L and I got in last year with a 168 and 173. Crazy, I know, but I think they definitely took the highest for me. Shows that not everything is 100% numbers based (in my opinion at least)!

Just around a 3.8. Not super high either.

I think it shows more that they don't average and really just consider your highest score.

Honestly I'm just glad they did it relatively quickly. Some schools should auto reject the auto rejects sooner so that they can stop dreaming and move on with their lives.

But seriously, good luck everyone!

I agree with this. There is no way they would have let me in at this point (or probably ever) if they were looking at my average instead of my highest score.

Dinged. I really thought that a 169/4.08 was good enough for at least a hold, but if I was going to be ultimately rejected, I'm glad it came now rather than later. Good luck to the rest of you.

Complete in mid-Nov. No hold. Guessing my rejection is coming soon. HLS, come at me bro! (or not...)

Rejections also came out today?

I was held. What are the chances? If Harvard's total 1L body is xxx, and we can expect x% to go to Yale or Stanford instead (or defer)...how many do they usually let in? And what extra stuff are people sending in to Harvard? I don't really have that much more to add...should I update them anyhow?

I have low LSAT (162-169...but, to be honest, think on the low end), 3.9x, and great WE (in terms of quality, not # of years)

Also, no interview.

@robot_socrates: your numbers are good. How come you didn't apply to UChicago or NYU?

I just don't feel excited at the prospect of going to school in NYC. I applied to Columbia because they gave me a fee waiver and I didn't have to do anything extra to complete their application. But if I'm fortunate enough to be accepted there, I'm still not sure if I would take it over Michigan.
