All ridiculously high GPAs for this wave. Fuuuuuuucck.

Come on H, show some love to the GPAs below 25th percentile.

This was a pretty quick turnaround, if I'm not mistaken. The next round of interviews are T-Th, and the only day off for Admissions beside Wednesday the 19th is this coming Friday. I know it's a quick turnaround but could this week's hear friday and then next week's hear the following wednesday? I know there were multiple december JS2 dates last year, three or four actually.

Either way I plan on politely asking JS about the timeline tomorrow!

Maybe there'll be JS1 emails on Friday with a few JS2s thrown in for good measure...

Nice! When did you apply and how are your softs?

Jaqen: Went complete 10/16. JS1 email 11/8. Interview on 11/13. I believe I was one of the "late" JS2's from the first cycle.

Softs: last 2 years spent in a top-15 Philosophy PhD program. During college: Philosophy B.A., top-25 undergrad; 3 years' work experience as a small firm legal assistant; 2 years student government and residence hall leadership; 1 semester study abroad.

How personalized are the JS1 emails?

Wonder if a machine is the only entity present when they are sent out or if JS has to be present at the time of departure...

Nvm, fck it.

Well, this is interesting. This means that those of us who were passed over originally are still being re-evaluated for possible JS2s before the holds go out in January. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that at least one more of us in this club will hear back in December after these next two weeks of interviews (my money's on elterrible).

Congrats again!

What are the initial impressions on JS1-JS2 conversions? Looks pretty good to me, with a couple of really weird/notable exceptions. I know that JS joked about turning away a future president...maybe she's trying to pull it off?

This would explain Lavitz's current status with the school.

So they've officially starting going below the LSAT median for non-URMs then? Uh-oh. It'll be a bit discouraging if the rest of us don't hear soon...though it seems to show that Harvard isn't all numbers based, since softs seem to matter in certain cases.

S/he has a GPA at the 75th, though, so not all that surprising.

Just finished JS1. Very pleasant experience -- mostly talking about my background/work experience. Only real "questions" were a "why law" type question and a "what are your interests in the law" question. Very conversational and completely relaxed.

Good luck to the rest. And now. Back. to. waiting.

Thanks! Yes, the JS2 call yesterday took me completely by surprise. I thought I was on indefinite "Hold" like everyone else from the first cycle.

Just to confirm: I'm a male non-URM. I don't think I'm the only below-median LSAT non-URM though; take a look at the other 172s and 171s on TLS Stats who got in.

Did anyone who interviewed today ask JS/KB when the next wave would come out? Based on the feel of my interview I decided not to.

Checking in:

Numbers are below the median. A legacy but i doubt that helps at all. 2+ years WE in finance (no finance background) and a few startups behind me as well. Worse thing that could happen is they say no.

Worse thing that could happen = dying from panic attack as you await a JS1 email and even potentially a JS2 call.

In other words, welcome to the thread.

Already experienced that feeling when UMich sent out an email about a twitter Q&A session a little while ago.

Honestly it's probably for the best for each individual that no one asks. It could come off as presumptuous and impatient. I know we're all dying to know, but it could really hurt someone's interview and that seems unfair. I doubt they'd even answer it tbh.

I actually have to agree with you, notwithstanding my +1 above. I made the individual decision that I would not ask process questions. I think when you're interviewing for a career field that requires poise, patience, and self-assuredness ... it's just bad form. Not only that, it could annoy JS ... and the difficult truth is that some of these decisions will be very close-run. No point in risking it.

Now, don't get me wrong. If someone else stumbles upon information that will make watching the water boil 1% more bearable, I will not avert my eyes from the thread.
