Fortunate enough to receive a JS2 today as well, around 5 EST.
Submitted early November, complete late November, KB1 last week.
For the record, I did NOT think that my interview went well.
PM if you care for more details, numbers (competitive but NOT auto-admit), softs (fairly strong), etc.
Thank you to all who post here and have been generous with insight and advice, and extra thanks to Lavitz (you'll get yours) and Mr Elshal.
Congrats to all of the recent admits, and good luck to all still waiting!

I second this. My interview was not a knock out of the park. I didn't feel that I completely crashed and burned, but I did feel I rambled and had a lack of focus with my answers.aredhello wrote:Fortunate enough to receive a JS2 today as well, around 5 EST.

Any 1/10 JS1s get a JS2? If so, looks like I missed the boat

I'll use this as another opportunity to remind potential JS1s (and pretty much anyone) that I can be reached via PM for any help with any stage of the process. I am by no means an expert, but I do have the 5th lowest GPA admitted on LSN so far, and I want to assume it wasn't just my URM-ness that did that. Feel free to reach out.
Congratulations to everyone who got the update. Glad to see the class swelling like this, and I really do hope to see many more pages full of people getting JS2s. It would be amazing if next year's Harvard class could be full of all the people from this thread. That would be so much fun.

I'm with you. Getting more and more impatient by the day. I don't know why no schools love me yet, or hate me at least!twinkletoes16 wrote:Congrats to all the JS2s!!!

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
If it helps, it took me a while to get my JS2 after most people in my interview round got theirs. I think it was a week or two, so don't worry. It looks chronological but I don't think it is. I'm pretty sure they spread all the applications on the floor and try jumping from desk to desk without touching the "lava". If an adcomm falls, all applications that they touch have to be admitted. I've worked through a lot of theories and this really does seem like the most plausible. You just have to wait for the next adcomm to fall onto your applicationYukos wrote:Any 1/10 JS1s get a JS2? Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I'm so grateful to all of you for the wonderful advice on this thread.
I wish I could give back, but pretty much everything that I could think of has been said.
But here's one thing I wish I'd been warned about:
If there is anything in your background or resume that suggests you have an interest/proficiency in comedy (e.g. sketch comedy group, humor writer, etc.), JS will ask you to tell a joke at the end of the interview.

Love this. Also thanks. There's some 3.6/3.7 people that are accepted non/URMs that give me hope. But still make me want to retake to a 176/7
