Unless I'm missing something, no one is held yet. We can all speculate and create our own fake realities but right now HLS is still in the cards. Plus 25% isn't terrible... +1 aside from the "chin up". I can't do it; I am smitten with emptiness without the JS2:-(Anonymous4444 wrote:you guys are right. chin up refresh until 5 and regroup tom

Not that I know anything but I'd be really surprised if all of you JS1s who interviewed last week are held - there are lots of you and pretty high numbers too. Remember how after the first day (11/20) a bunch of JS1s were left waiting but they weren't done yet.leebs2 wrote:+1 aside from the "chin up". Maybe they're punting Lavitz and the rest of us until the tug of war with Yale and Stanford can start?honeybadger12 wrote: Not that I know anything but I'd be really surprised if all of you JS1s who interviewed last week are held - there are lots of you and pretty high numbers too. Idk, I'm basically trying to convince myself of anything at this point to stay optimistic. The idea of a slow trickle is killing me.

Perhaps there is another day like yesterday on the calendar, when at least one of KB/JS will be able to dispatch invites and admissions? Anybody able to say from the online system ya'll have been alluding to?sabanist wrote:Maybe they're punting Lavitz and the rest of us until the tug of war with Yale and Stanford can start?honeybadger12 wrote: Not that I know anything but I'd be really surprised if all of you JS1s who interviewed last week are held - there are lots of you and pretty high numbers too. Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
there was a time when meadow grove and stream the earth and every common sight to me did seem appareled in celestial light the glory and the freshness of a dream. it is not now as it hath been of yore. turn wheresoever i may by night or day the things which i have seen i now can see no more
the rainbow comes and goes and lovely is the rose. the moon doth with delight look round her when the heavens are bare waters on a stary night are beautiful and fair the sunshine is a glorious birth. but yet i know wherever i go that there hath passed away a glory from the earth. now while the birds thus sing a joyous song and while the young lambs bound as to a tabors sound to me alone there cam a thought of grief a timely utterance gave that thought relief and i again am strong the cataracts blow their trumpets from the steep no more shall grief of mine the seasons wrong
i hear the echoes through the mountains throng.
the winds come to me from the fields of sleep and all the earth is gay
land and see give themselves up to jollity and with a heart of may doth every beast keep holiday. though child of joy shout round me let me hear thy thoughts though happy shepherd boy.
Wordsworth
from memory probably made some mistakes
this is me depressed as Wordsworth

My speculation is that today files are being reviewed to determine JS1 invites, tomorrow JS1 (interviews) will be done by both, Thurs more JS1 invites will go out from files reviewed today and Friday will be JS2s. And while I'm at it the winning lotto numbers are..... 18 29 45 32 4.

Just went complete today! Was sitting on Application Received since 11/16 so give it some more time? Should be soon I think.wisteria wrote:It's been 25 days and counting for me. I think I'm going to either email or call them this Friday. Agh.....UMich11 wrote:I know you guys have gone over it but i'm in the office and don't have the time to read through the 1600+ posts to figure this out. What is the timeline for complete? isn't it something like 20 days? If i called would they confirm they have everything? I know this isn't as exciting as a JSx post, but help a guy out.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
My contribution to the morale of this thread: thus far, there are 27 admissions noted on LSN for this cycle. Last year, there were 161 by the end of the cycle. Assuming the LSN participation level is roughly the same and assuming HLS makes a similar number of offers this year as last, there are probably only ~150 offers on the table so far and ~700 remaining. Keep in mind also that many of the early admits had galactic numbers and will likely get Y/S offers, which some will take.
A long way of saying: it's early. Even if you are held, I think you'll compete well with the remainder of the pool as it assembles, and many of you will be admitted. This is all pure 0L speculation, something energetically resisted on this thread.

Congrats to the new JS1's!! Hope you rock your interviews and don't end up in the miserable JS1 but no JS2 pile of depression.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I love you all, but it is so much easier to say "just hang on" when you've got a 617 number in your recents. It's rough feeling left out, wondering what went wrong, when it might come, whether it ever will, etc. Trying to cry it out last night gave me a migraine, so internet forum poetry it is. That said, I'm really glad to see some movement today. Congrats new JS1s!
ETA: Just remembered I told someone waiting for completion to be patient today. Case in point, and hypocrisy acknowledged.
