Checking in... sent 11/9, complete 12/6-no js1 (and not too optimistic, although somehow retaining hope) I've been lurking since mid-december (checking every day-multiple times a day, you know-like a freak, but too shy to join in) and decided to finally join in on the fun and stop being a creep!
just hoping not to be one of these...

I've similarly been lurking for awhile and thought I'd check in too. Sent 12/4, complete 12/13, no JS1 (dare I say yet?). Still just waiting......luna wrote:Checking in... sent 11/9, complete 12/6-no js1 (and not too optimistic, although somehow retaining hope) I've been lurking since mid-december (checking every day-multiple times a day, you know-like a freak, but too shy to join in) and decided to finally join in on the fun and stop being a creep!

Lol I know it was casual, it hasn't sunk in yet. I listened the message and grinned... and then went grocery shopping. It'll hit me in a few days and I'll be wild just in time for the weekend hahaha

Thanks everyone also, I'll be glad to answer any questions about the interview. Mine was super short, about 13 mins total.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Background: in my current position I deal with a lot of upset and frustrated people, and often have to deliver unfavorable news. So she basically asked me how I go about doing this.wert3813 wrote:Just give us the sparknotes version?Spritzpiggy wrote:Thanks everyone also, I'll be glad to answer any questions about the interview. Also, she asked why I wanted to leave my current position for law school (why law)?
Asked about multiple LSAT scores.
Asked a variation of Why Harvard.
That was it. I asked some questions and boom, finito. It was a very enjoyable, conversational interview.

I can't remember the wording, but basically it was "I'm sure you'll have a lot of options, why would you choose Harvard." And man, was I glad my Harvard stalking could finally be put to use lol

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I know this is about a month too late, but I'm a long-time lurker and wanted my first post to be something exciting, so...
I got accepted
KB1 12/14, JS2 12/21 (Like I said, much later)
And since the topic du jour seems to be the interview, mine was short (12-14 minutes), I wore business professional, and she asked me questions about what my proudest accomplishment was, and then picked something off of my resume that she thought was interesting. All in all, it went well, and when Jessica called me, she said something like, "my colleague really enjoyed speaking with you, so we wanted to accept you."
I definitely prepared--read through all of my essays and resume just so I remembered everything, thought through every possible question I could think of (and so they didn't ask a question I wasn't prepared for).

Also working while listening to film scores makes everything seem so much more dramatic.
