Just received my JS1 invite--thought people might want to know since I didn't go complete until 11/29.
Anyone who's been through the interview want to post some idea of the questions asked? I'd like to know how much prep to give this before I choose my appointment slot.

I'm still in undergrad and haven't won a Nobel Prize or anything that generally constitutes "strong softs" on TLS! I'm Hispanic, although not URM, and founded/am president of a human rights organization on campus? Nothing extraordinary! I literally believed there was a 0% chance I'd get one, so there's still hope for lots of you guys who thought the same!lsacqueen wrote:Congrats!!! Congrats JS1s!
Definitely some non-interview work getting done today. Fingers crossed for some JS2 movement this afternoon as well.

If you go back in the thread (not sure which pages) people have already posted every question that KB asks, as well as an idea of what JS's interviewing style is like. There are a lot of posts about all of this, so hopefully that should help.dcg2120 wrote:Just received my JS1 invite--thought people might want to know since I didn't go complete until 11/29.

ETA did not realize just how long this thread has gotten. As shntn posted below, check out around page 25. In case you get KB, the definitive post for her interview is Lavitz's. For JS, her style is a little more fluid and changes based on the person being interviewed, so you'll need to look through a few of the posts to get an idea of how to prep for that.
Lavitz wrote:Also just finished my interview but it was with KB--who is pretty awesome herself.
Questions I remember her asking:
"Tell me about your job."
"How have your experiences at that job informed your decision to go to law school?"
"What are you looking forward to at Harvard?"
"Is there a particular area of study you find most attractive?"
"What do you think your greatest challenge would be at Harvard?"
"What accomplishment are you most proud of?"
"What do you envision a successful career for yourself would look like?"
"Is there anything you were hoping I would ask? In other words, is there anything not in your app that you'd like us to know about you?" (I was caught off guard by this, completely blanked out, and then punted the question by saying "nope, it's all in my app." )
"Do you have any questions for me?" (Asked her like 4 questions)
Interview lasted about 14:30.
Edited to add more questions I just remembered.

Well, I guess at this rate, I won't be hearing back until 2013. Submitted 11/1 and went complete 11/13.

They come out in multiple batches even on the days they come out on..
So hopefully there's still hope for more JS1s today
...wishful thinking maybe, but hopefully the day is not yet over.

And me! I've just come to accept that it'll be a long wait for me, at least, since I'm at/near both 25ths. Expecting to be held next month..Cherries2013 wrote:you, me, helix and anon444 toolsatprepguy wrote:starting to lose a little bit of hope :/ complete since 10-10, 172/3.96. passed over for all JS1 rounds thus far.

I'm not sure what's going on? Should I withdraw and apply again? did they forget about us? Are our applications just lost in the 172 pile somewhere?

Got the invite to interview today! Pretty excited b/c I'm under their 25% GPA.
Sorry if this is posted somewhere, but I can't find the answer: what % of people who get interviews get admitted? I know they are interviewing 1200 this year.
