Haven't heard anything and had my JS1 this week...I really thought there would be JS2's today. Nobody with a recent JS1 was waitlisted today, right?

Wait listed as of a couple hours ago. But in all honesty, the fact that I wasn't auto-dinged is somewhat of a miracle. Good luck to everyone who survived the WL/ding waves these past few days!

i did some digging on the class of 2015 thread: there were a substantial amount of acceptances in april as late as april 27 when i got bored and stopped checking

Last year's cycle was very different. People weren't Waitlisted until late April/early May.Anonymous4444 wrote:GertrudeR wrote:So there have to be some JS2s left for next week after the bloodbaths this week....right...?

I'd say the cycle before that would be a much better gauge.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
^ good point but getting accepted in late april is not crazy if it happened before
edit: but the truth is now that i think about it if people are getting wl earlier in the year that implies there are less spots available now then there were last year at this point. right?

There have to be JS2's left...they wouldn't have offered us JS1's this past week if there weren't any spots left

Nice for us gay people waiting.Lagunitan wrote:Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there's much precedent for straight admits coming after the big wave of waitlists. In past years, it looks like basically all admits occurred before the waitlist wave, or at the same time. (And this makes sense, if you think about it). That said, it also seems like the waitlist wave usually comes later in April. I'm not sure what to think of those of us who had recent JS1s/KB1s but haven't heard anything.
Okay, I guess that's my cue to take off for the night.
