It seems that I didn't get auto-admitted at berkeley, but rather I'll have to go to faculty review for a chance... think its still possible to get into harvard given this, or is my app a POS?

Not to be a dick, but I fail to see how those are related at all. Berkeley is just weird. And I have no clue about your app, having never seen it, but if you weren't outright dinged, it can't be that bad.

People have been sent to faculty review and still gotten into Stanford and Harvard this cycle. Don't worry about it.

I cant wait to go to my community college where I spent my first two years before transferring. They gave me a huge scholly (almost $20K) and my professors really believed in me. They are going to shit themselves or be completely unsurprised when I tell them.

I just tell people I am applying to schools in Boston, New York, Chicago, etc. And then they attempt to convince me that our state school with a 50% employment after graduation rate is really good.

I had this same conversation with a guy I know who actually gave me a whole talk about how the TTT that he went to is so awesome that he wouldn't even have gone to Harvard if he could go back and change it. Then I told him I got into Harvard. You should have seen the look on his face (none of the smileys here appropriately represent it so I won't even try)

they got their JS1 yesterday- do we have anyone on the boards that reported that? sometimes i wish we could make the boards private to force the lurkers to submit/comment/add something to this site.
