I'll predict some serious blood on here (in the broad sense) tomorrow. Harvard, Berkeley, a few others. It's been so quite across the board today.

That's excellent, and now I am (extra) rooting for you to get that JS2!twinkletoes16 wrote:bob loblaw11 wrote:I hope your skywriting says, "What, like it's hard? I'm not kidding, but a beauty pageant winning friend of mine seriously wants to tour ASWs with me and whenever I enter into a room she wants to be behind me yelling, VOTE FOR ELLE!!!!!!!! (her idea, not mine, surprisingly). my blondeness precedes me.

I had this same conversation with a guy I know who actually gave me a whole talk about how the TTT that he went to is so awesome that he wouldn't even have gone to Harvard if he could go back and change it. Then I told him I got into Harvard. You should have seen the look on his face (none of the smileys here appropriately represent it so I won't even try)Spritzpiggy wrote:I just tell people I am applying to schools in Boston, New York, Chicago, etc. And then they attempt to convince me that our state school with a 50% employment after graduation rate is really good.

Blah at best, really didn't feel like I added anything they didn't already know except to further emphasize my manic research of Harvard's program and faculty.
Aaaaand the wait to receive a hold commences...
EDIT: Hold or flat-out ding, let's be real.
I felt the same way with my JS1...I rambled and was inarticulate and actually told JS that I loved her at one point and yet still got in, so I think you are likely fine, everyone has nerves and they understand that

As in, "I love you," like you would say to your mom, or, "OMG, I love you," as in, your friend surprised you with a post of Taylor Lautner's ab's on your wall? assuming the latter...efresh88 wrote:cloudatlas wrote:Ugh. Just finished JS1 with KB - she was lovely. I was not.

I have a good feeling about tomorrow -- envisioning several JS1s among the tidal wave of dings that is also likely to come.

Does the date change like NU or will there be no warning before a JS1/ding? I'd like to brace myself for what will almost inevitably be the latter.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Stays complete.Audeamus wrote:wondering the same thing. also, does the status checker switch to UR ever or just stay at complete?az21833 wrote:latest complete to js1? mid dec still?

Wish we knew when they went complete... probably at least a week or two ago.az21833 wrote:fyi tls has a 12/7 SUBMIT that is JS2 already. and a 12/23 SUBMIT that js1 arleady.
Hmm... if they got their JS1 yesterday, its not likely they'll have another wave of JS1s until next week, no?twinkletoes16 wrote:az21833 wrote:fyi tls has a 12/7 SUBMIT that is JS2 already. and a 12/23 SUBMIT that js1 arleady.

I'll be that guy:
All holds and dings tomorrow.
Anyone went complete before 12/15 will have heard something by tomorrow.
Hope I'm wrong.
