I had mine with Jessica. Also, I am fairly confident she says something along the lines of "we'll be in touch" every time.
I'm not going to worry about it too much, but it would be nice to hear before christmas.

I'm just waiting for the moment that one of my smart-ass friends gets the idea to call me from a 617 number and make believe she's JS.

My sister pulled this one as soon as I applied. I knew I wouldn't get an email, but that didn't stop the mild heart attack when I saw the subject line.

Apparently Jessica is interviewing today. Does this completely dash our hopes of new JS1/JS2?yankihote wrote:I had mine with Jessica. Also, I am fairly confident she says something along the lines of "we'll be in touch" every time.

People shouldn't do this unless they are willing to pay the medical bills once we have our heart attacks.sabanist wrote:Those are not friends.Mr. Elshal wrote:I'm just waiting for the moment that one of my smart-ass friends gets the idea to call me from a 617 number and make believe she's JS.

I know you guys have gone over it but i'm in the office and don't have the time to read through the 1600+ posts to figure this out. What is the timeline for complete? isn't it something like 20 days? If i called would they confirm they have everything? I know this isn't as exciting as a JSx post, but help a guy out.

It took me 20 days. I was complete on the status checker 2 days before my complete email.UMich11 wrote:I know you guys have gone over it but i'm in the office and don't have the time to read through the 1600+ posts to figure this out. Some have taken longer, others less. No guarantees. Don't panic. This is crunch time for them.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I have had some panic, not much yet. But i had 2 schools (one ED, one EA) which had me in the RD pile for about a month. Each time i called they said they were updating the files and i would get an email when everything was complete (the online portals had said updating) and i eventually called and spoke to the dean of admissions, they came back saying they screwed up and will start looking at my apps right away. So i have been a little paranoid even though this is RD app.sabanist wrote:It took me 20 days. Thats crazy. Sometimes we are reminded that there are humans working on our applications, not computers.UMich11 wrote:I have had some panic, not much yet. It's been 25 days and counting for me. I think I'm going to either email or call them this Friday. Agh.....UMich11 wrote:I know you guys have gone over it but i'm in the office and don't have the time to read through the 1600+ posts to figure this out. Just sent my app! Super late, but an acceptance from NYU made me rethink my chances. Good luck everyone!

sooo,if you have been placed on the hold pile, are your chances of admission later in the cycle typically very small? or do a reasonable amount of held applicants eventually get in?
