Same boat with Labo and ObviousAlias. Would just like some sense of whether it's one destined for good news or sinking to a watery grave. I'll take any news at this point.

I think ASW is cancelled as of now since Boston is pretty much in lockdown mode. Stay safe Boston people!

Yeah, a bunch of people flew in anyway and are stranded there.

hey guys -- let me know if you're in the area and stranded. i'm pretty close to the law school, and if you're already here you're welcome to crash. although, to be honest, my recommendation is to get the heck out.

I think this is good advice. I would be shocked if the ASW happens, they haven't even found this guy yet. At least start making plans for how you are going to get home if it is cancelled.
(I know I am not a Harvard applicant, but I have been through terrorist attacks, earthquakes, hurricanes, etc. stuff just doesn't get back to normal that fast. Even if they catch him in the next hour, which doesn't seem too likely, there will still be investigations happening.)

I'm at Lucky's in Logan until further notice if anyone else is stranded or cares to join
I'll be really bummed if ASW is cancelled, but my hotel is nonrefundable so I'll probably be hanging around the city either way.

I haven't heard from harvard about anything. No interviews, nothing. And it's already April 22nd.

Any thoughts? Anyone on the same boat?

Complete early february aaaaaand nothing. Giving the craziness that's been going on in boston and the fact that they just canceled an ASW, we might not hear anything till next week, but I'm expecting a ding wave friday. Maybe I'm just being negative though.

You're probably right. I think it's interesting that we seem to have very similar profiles (although I didn't list mine, it is similar to both of yours, Rlabo and Alias). I don't know what that means, but it's interesting.

FYI, ASW wasn't cancelled. It went through as planned as far as I know.
Back to regularly scheduled stressing tomorrow.

As I understand it, Friday's events were cancelled but after the suspect was arrested, the remainder of the ASW went on as scheduled.

Yeah, the ASW went on as scheduled per an email I received.

Either way, I plan on doing an individualized visit. The school is offering three dedicated visit days for those who cancelled their travel plans. It is only one day, but I'll take what I can get.

This is essentially correct. There were a couple head fakes on Friday that disrupted the formal program that started Saturday afternoon, but the program was held in entirety. Very impressive all around. Then again, I was already committed, so there is bias in my assessment.

There are no events today, so you should see normal admissions work taking place again.

Where did you hear about the three dedicated days? I haven't gotten any word back yet.

I heard back yesterday morning. I wasn't sure if they would email us cancelled ASWers directly or whether we needed to email them to let them know. I emailed them on Friday to let them know I cancelled my trip but was still interested in an individual visit. They got back to me yesterday morning. Go ahead and email them.

Concerning the dedicated visit days (direct quote from email):
"You are more than welcome to visit campus on April 25th, 26th or 29th. Please let us know at your earliest convenience about which day would be best for you and we will be in touch soon with a schedule. As these days are guaranteed visit days, you can feel free to schedule travel immediately."

I am waiting on the schedule, but I booked my trip last night.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
