Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I was complete 1/24
Heard back yesterday
Also took the feb LSAT hoping for a higher score and that I won't get rejected before scores come out
What questions do they ask during the interview what are they looking for
Anyone who had their interview that can shed some light
All this waiting and uncertainty is very stressful!

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
There are several places on this thread that discuss the interview. I wish I was good enough at searching to point you to those spots. Just search through Lavitz' posts. My advice is just know your application. Make a list of five questions someone would ask you if they wanted you to succeed and make a list of five questions someone would ask you if they wanted you to fail. Keep in mind the questions are geared toward getting a better sense of general things like how you handle pressure, time management, stress. The one thing I will suggest is that you breath before answering the questions, that you just do a two count if it is a question that you hadn't thought of. And google interview questions if you need help, you can find pages and pages of possible questions.Legallybronzed180 wrote:Hi

How long after our JS1s before we should start to worry? Mine was about 2.5 weeks ago

who knows. JS2 seems pretty unpredictable. Some JS1ers have not heard a beep for more than a month while some have been held/dinged within 2 weeks. I am not sure what the distinction between the two are... the process is such a crapshoot...Teflon_Don wrote:How long after our JS1s before we should start to worry? Mine was about 2.5 weeks ago

Yeah, but there is a fairly linear relationship between js1 and js2...spyke123 wrote:who knows. JS2 seems pretty unpredictable. I also think that things work differently for URM's Don. It took me 6 weeks and a hold to get a JS2, but someone earlier this week got one within a few days. I think it would be time to start worrying when you get put on the WL.spyke123 wrote:who knows. JS2 seems pretty unpredictable. I mean obviously you will hear back sometime after your JS1 (I dont think you can deduce anything more from that graph due to the scaling).. I am just pointing to the fact that the time between JS1 and JS2 seem to vary significantly depending on the applicant.. from 3 days to more than a monthManOfTheMinute wrote:Yeah, but there is a fairly linear relationship between js1 and js2...spyke123 wrote:who knows. Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
hold is definitely not the same as WL right? then what is the difference between "hard hold" (hold email) vs. "soft hold" (not hearing anything for weeks)... this question has started to bother me.. as I patiently wait for JS2..mommalee wrote:I also think that things work differently for URM's Don. Hahaha, I do not care to do regression on this as I don't have the raw data, but it would seem to indicate that there is a strong relationship beyond simply "occurring after." It looks like usually its 1.5 weeks or so, and happens in bunches. There are RARE outliers, but everyone else fits to that linespyke123 wrote:

I think 1.5 weeks sounds fair especially pre new year and in Jan. but I do feel like it is becoming more and more unpredictable though. The last few JS2s have come from all over the place.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Hahaha, I do not care to do regression on this as I don't have the raw data, but it would seem to indicate that there is a strong relationship beyond simply "occurring after." Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
From what ive seen over the past few weeks, it looks like you can hope to hear back between 2 or 3 tuesdays after your js1. There area few exceptions but most of the js2s seem to be in that range. But they do seem to almost have 2 waves, so if you havent heard back after 2 tuesdays dont freak out just yet. There will be more from your week the next time, most likely.spyke123 wrote:I think 1.5 weeks sounds fair especially pre new year and in Jan. but I do feel like it is becoming more and more unpredictable though. For those that take longer to hear back and havent recieved a hold, its probably equivalent to getting a js1 a few weeks after those who share your complete date. Theyre still evaluating something, but if theres no hold or ding you're definitely still in a good place
