Admitted yesterday as well. Looked up the thing regarding 6th May deadline, if you have applied for financial aid your deadline is changed to either the deadline (May 6th) of the date one week after you get your financial aid respons whichever is later.

Congrats all new admits!
Balder, where did you find this information? On Cornell's site?
It is stated at the last paragraph of the forth page in the JD Admit packet attached to the admission email. Also asked them about this when I called regarding some other questions I had and they confirmed it.

I'm reserve as of 30 April.

I have no real understanding of what this means. Does anyone know the difference between reserve and wait list?

If there is a difference, are admission offers given to reserved or waitlisted candidates most?

If there is no difference, what's a realistic expectation for being offered a seat?

Called admissions the other day; apparently they counted me in the late applications, despite waiving my deadline. Blergh.

Annnnyway, date just updated on my status checker (still no decision yet). Good sign? Looking at my app? Hoping I can expect a decision soon..

I applied in January and took the LSAT in December and I haven't heard.

^ I also applied in Jan with a December LSAT and I just got placed on reserve via email.

I take it that 'reserve' just means 'we're not finished looking at your app yet.' It's not even a proper wait list!

Not sure about that.

If they hit their matriculation targets, the class will be finalized and the show is over - everybody goes home.

"Reserve" is essentially waitlist as most schools use it, there are hundreds of people on it right now. They probably want to cut down people who aren't interested in remaining before determining how many people make the cut onto the "official waitlist".

Has any1 who's on reserve been asked to interview? I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that they interview all WL students but haven't heard anything nor tried to set anything up.

I've read that too, but because their initial reserve list is so huge, they may wait until they narrow it down to come up with the summer WL.

If you are reserved- are you automatically put on the waitlist if not accepted or are some reserves rejected?

I asked them about this. Reserves do not interview, only waitlists. Once you're WL'ed from Reserve, then you can ask to interview.

Just to clarify, you asked to visit/meet some1 in admissions office and they denied and said that they only interview WL candidates? Or can some1 whose on the WL still request an appointment and it may be granted, but one will not be presented unless solicited?

So I still haven't heard anything from them, no decision, no waitlist, no reserve. Last time they checked was back in early March, looking at status checker.

What should I do? Should I give them a call? It seems like they've completely forgotten me. I wish they would just give me a rejection letter if they're not gonna accept me anyway

No harm in calling. I did that about a month ago when I was worried about my app, and they were very understanding.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
