I got a $120k scholly award this morning. I submitted FA info two weeks ago and gave them today as a deadline due to NU's deposit requirement.Rlabo wrote:Any movement today?
I'll be withdrawing to free that money up for y'all as soon as I have a hard copy of UVA's offer in hand!

still waiting!! ... got two of those emails burning a hole in my inbox! Did you send an LOCI or why Cornell or something?????dynamic28 wrote:Went complete in Jan. and have been UR twice since with a few emails telling me they're still looking at files. At this point, do I even have a chance? First I was happy I wasn't an automatic reject but now I feel forgotten!
Anyone else still waiting for an initial decision?

you could ask them nicely if they are close to a decision because deadlines are looming and you want to be fully aware of cost before declining other offers.smdpnp wrote:They got my papers by March 30th.

Finally figured out why my application wasn't progressing- I never sent them the late application waiver (woops!). Looking forward to finally seeing some movement.

This is so depressing, do you guys think they're gonna take more people off reserve than usual? I would really have loved to go to Cornell and this is bumming me out.KremeCheez wrote:Above 75th / Above Median here.untar614 wrote:+2TUICE wrote:+1Rlabo wrote:Reserved today

No telling. Cornell is very selective because it likes to keep its classes quite small.Rlabo wrote:This is so depressing, do you guys think they're gonna take more people off reserve than usual? I would really have loved to go to Cornell and this is bumming me out.

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I've got a couple of quick questions about my reserve e-mail that I'd appreciate some feedback on.
1: Should I mention that I plan on retaking in June? Without the retake, I think it is very doubtful I get in off the wait list. In addition, I don't know if I'd even make the initial cut from the reserve. Other than studying, I haven't really done anything noteworthy to mention in a letter.
2: Should this reserve e-mail remain very similar to a wait list letter of interest? Or should this one be more brief?

Reserved today. I'm already making travel arrangements to go apartment hunting near NU, so I don't think I'm gonna wait it out.

anyone who has submitted an LOCI--who did you address your letter to? for other LOCIs, I've addressed it to the person who signed my wait list email but the Cornell reserve email is generic!

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
From my knowledge on LOCI etiquette, one is supposed to address her letter to the individual who sent the email containing the decision.
But it is really not that big of a deal. Ad Com or X Law School Admissions works just fine. Focus more on its content.
