I think I speak for everyone when I say that I have never wanted something to just HURRY UP AND BE OVER ALREADY as much as I do this cycle.

Put on reserve. As was the case with UCLA, I'm pretty happy with my waitlist. 166/3.3. I'm surprised it wasn't an outright ding.

If water into wine isn't a good enough soft, what hope do the rest of us have? Sorry, Jesus.

Yeah I got an email this morning. And no, I wasn't an EA applicant. I think I missed the deadline for EA by 3 days. I was regular decision, applied ~11/14. Non-URM.

Placed in reserve via e-mail this morning. Not suprised. Knew I was headed down this road when I applied.
166/3.8/Non-URM, 6 years as a Marine Officer, Strong Softs, Extensive Leadership Experience, Combat Deployment.

Wow. I would've accepted you based on your service alone. Send 'em a good, 'Why Cornell' essay. Thanks for your service and GL.

Sorry to hear about the waitlists, get to working on those LOCIs! :)

I'm still rocking that 1/16 update as an EA deferral. At this point I just want to know something so I can proceed with plan A, B, C, D, E... so on and so forth.

Good luck to those still waiting!

I work on the same floor as a Lauren and a Lindsey, both men. Gender pitfalls everywhere, and yet if you try to go TOO neutral people get all huffy like you wished them a "Happy Holidays"

I've been complete since 12/12 with NO updates. 12/12 is still the current status date. I called admissions yesterday to confirm that they weren't waiting on anything, and they said my file is complete. What the hell? What does this mean?

I googled Connie Pendergast Cornell and the 4th picture in has both a man and a woman in it. LinkedIn profile has no pic. I'm catching no breaks.

Connie is an abbreviation of Conway Twitty, or at least that's what popped into my head when I was trying to think of a guy named Connie.

I was complete 12/6 and didn't get my first update until 2/1. So they are moving, albeit very slowly.

Well there is your mistake. You should have had God himself, or at least the angel Gabriel write it.

I think you would be better off having Cornell's Dean of admissions write it, as long as we're dreaming.

Thanks.

Already sent the Why Cornell with the original app. Not really sure there is much else I can update them on; and due to some military program restrictions, If I dont get offered acceptance prior to 1 April, which looks unlikely, its game over. Just have to wait and see.

Good luck to you as well.

You might be able to email them and let them know about your deadline a week or so before?
