I know it's hard watching people scoop up acceptances like candy in December, but for most people it's still really early in the cycle. And we all know that this cycle will, if anything, be longer and more interesting than past ones.

Deferred. Fuck man, these C&F issues from freshman year are seemingly biting me in the ass and it's honestly pissing me off at this point. 3 for 3 on EA/non-binding EDs deferrals.

That sucks.

None of them were rejections though. It's going to be a long cycle for the non auto admits. The schools are prolly still hoping for a high score spike from the Dec test.

To all those in the defer pile at Cornell, don't sweat it too much.

I've already been accepted to two other T-14 schools, and my numbers should be auto-admit at Cornell, yet I was deferred.

Seems Cornell is just putting off making decisions as long as possible.

Keep the faith.

Complete 11/19. Updates 12/7 and 12/12. One more! Seems like most people had their last two updates two days in a row...so maybe one more tomorrow then decisions Friday??? I am not ready for this.

We are on about the same timeline - complete 11/21, updates 12/7 and 12/12

yeah, i noticed that too. just a random hunch but i think that might be the dean's final approval update. just the last glance you know? which makes sense since that means decisions are imminent.

Congrats and condolences, everyone! We have a support group for deferred candidates.. if anybody's interested.

Anyone know about how long it takes to hear about financial aid after you submit all the required docs?

How do we hear about merit money? Didn't get invited for Dean's scholarship and there's nothing in the email. Is it a waiting game or does it mean I get nothing?
