How long did it take most of you all to go complete?

Mine was received 1/8.

Same here. I don't know if hearing no response this far in means waitlist or rejection.

Withdrew just now. Good luck to everyone, and I hope they pass the Dean's Scholarship on to iMisto.

They received my application on 1/4 and I didn't go complete until Saturday, 2/2. From what I've heard, about a month is standard.

Finally went complete, but they said it would be like mid-april before I get a decision...is that even possible? Don't I have to have my choice made by then? I'm not going to hold out for some long-ish shot at cornell.

I applied mid-November and am expecting a decision sometime around mid February. On this kind of three-month-plus timeline, April makes sense, and lawschoolnumbers.com suggests early April maybe (although someone who went complete 1/31 last year didn't hear back until May with 165/3.89, but they were a URM)

I submitted 1/8 and I'm still not complete. I agree, this has made me lose interest in Cornell. I will probably withdraw by the end of the month.

Is this a troll ? How many other schools have you heard from with a 1/8 submission ?

They said complete, not a decision.

I've already heard from Cornell, but as an observation, I think their ridiculously long complete time, and the fact that they deferred a lot of qualified EA candidates that they ended up accepting in January, isn't doing anything good for their yield rate. They've been making an already frustrating process more frustrating than necessary.

TBH I misread the complete part. Honestly though, the difference between complete and UR or whatever isn't a big deal to me. Regardless, it's a wait. With a Jan submit ( I am one of them ) you went into the process knowing you won't be hearing back 'til March or April...

Besides, if your "interest" in a school lies in their admissions process, you have your priority whacked...

Agreed...I really just want to withdraw my app at this point.

Its wasn't meant to be whiny :p...I'm honestly just bored with the Cornell wait, its the only school for which I don't even bother checking the status every morning

Yes, I was referring to my application going complete, NOT receiving a decision. I am not sure why my interest or lack of interest in Cornell bothers you. If you want to go there, you should be happy that I am considering withdrawing. I am entitled to look for different things in a school than you. You may view a school's interest in you as an applicant as an irrelevant factor in your decision, but I don't. Cornell isn't that good of a school (FOR ME PERSONALLY based on where I want to practice and what I want to study) that I would consider going there with absolutely no wooing/marketing or money.

I hope that you don';t think ANY school is interested in YOU.

Your money and future connections and endowment ? Sure..

This thread has taken a nasty turn... let's all relax a little before someone throws themselves into the gorges.

ETA: I think a lot of schools are interested in us all. I thought I heard something about declining applications.... Best of luck wherever you end up, falling!

Then withdraw. It's a long process. But it's petulant and childish to think that another school which sends you complete in a week but makes you wait two months for a decision is showing 'interest' in you. You'll be complete this week, probably. But you won't get money until you're in anyway.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
