If you copy and pasted it, how long was it? Two or three sentences seems a bit too brief.
I just wrote it in the box. Mine was about 5 or 6 sentences, 2 of which were the setup and punchline to an Ithaca joke. Didn't they only ask for a few sentences? I seriously remember only writing a little bit because I didn't want to stray from the guideline.
I also have not gotten an acceptance yet, fwiw hahahaa

I did one. Wasn't it required? Anyway, I wrote only 2/3 sentences and it didn't hurt me it seems. I was admitted in about five weeks - via EA - and my numbers are borderline.

Yeah I wrote two rather crappy sentences and got in ea as well.

I was deferred with ~3.95/166 ... I wrote a LOCI and sent it in. I like Cornell and am still sad about it because if I didn't get in EA, it doesn't seem likely during RD when most other apps roll in..

Hold out, dude. You have a really great GPA and your LSAT is only a couple points below median. Chin up, brother.

Why Cornell, paraphrased from memory:
I really like the Fall and Winter. Cali's too hot. I'm looking forward to Ithaca's fair weather.
Not the greatest joke in the world, hope no one was let down.

Ha, I'm from California and I feel like I talked about wanting four seasons for every school I applied to that's not in California.

I think we're all a little disappointed.

Just a little bit. You can also (hopefully) look forward to Ithaca's superior air quality.

If only there were some pun that described Ithaca's natural landscape, while also commending its beauty.

What a tease! Woke up to an email from admissions... Letting me know they'll be looking at my file in a few weeks.
Greetings from Cornell Law School Admissions!
A few weeks ago we notified you that your file was complete and awaiting review. We're writing now just to check in and let you know that we're actively reviewing files and hope to reach yours in the coming weeks. Our process is a full-file-review process, which sometimes means that decisions take more time than a more numbers-oriented approach. We sincerely appreciate your patience and will update your status as soon as we have made a decision. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or e-mail us.
Best wishes,
Cornell Law School Admissions

second week of November or so... On my phone or I'd let you know more specifically. It took a long time to be confirmed complete. LSN link in my profile will show exact dates.

Cornell takes forever to go complete. I submitted about a week before you and just went complete late last week, so i'd suspect you may be going complete soon if they are somewhat going in order..

Just got that email saying they are reviewing my application actively. I thought it was a decision so I got nervous. My computer made things worse by not letting me open the email for about 20 minutes.
