Checking in. I hope Cornell uses that gift appropriately.

How soon do you hear back when you apply EA at Cornell?

They take their time, you can expect mid to late November. Most didn't I until very close to the ea notification deadline.

Anyone's application gone complete yet? I'd like to be able to start spamming refresh on the status checker ASAP.

Checking in. Wasn't planning to apply but just received a fee waiver (my first from a legitimate school). Best of luck to all!

It's weird. I've only applied to Cornell and W&M so far. I applied to W&M after Cornell (they've both gone complete already) and they've already gotten back to me with the status checker info, but nothing from Cornell yet.Jaytray wrote:Anyone's application gone complete yet? I haven't gotten my status checker yet either. My app requires a Dean's Cert. does anyone know if this needs to be in before my app goes complete, or will they still look at it as it's in the mail?

Unsolicited, received a letter in the mail just a few days ago. I haven't tried requesting any fee waivers yet but I'm definitely going to get on it soon

I feel like most EA applicants heard back in early-mid December unless they applied way before Oct. 31.top30man wrote:They take their time, you can expect mid to late November. Most didn't I until very close to the ea notification deadline.

True. I think I recall there being two late batches. One in late November. Then in mid December. It was like a week in both cases where a bunch of people heard each day.HBBJohnStamos wrote:I feel like most EA applicants heard back in early-mid December unless they applied way before Oct. 31.top30man wrote:They take their time, you can expect mid to late November. Checking in. Have any others with LSATs above 170 not received fee waivers?

Checking in. Also, any insight on the "influenced to apply" question? Seems like past TLSers left this question blank but this year, the app requires a response. Seems odd

Yeah, I'm stuck on that question as well. Seems very strange that it's a required question. I'll probably put "N/A" since I can't honestly name any individuals I know who "influenced" my decision, and it sounds better than "Nobody."comeonletsgo wrote:Checking in. professors at Cornell? It seems so Cornell-specific - that's what's throwing me offiMisto wrote:Really? Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
iMisto: Yes, really lol. The name "Cornell" was never uttered in my conversations with my recommenders. I did mention Cornell in a discussion with another of my professors, but it was part of me explaining the general strategy of applying to the T14 and why the T14 were special, etc. He wasn't familiar with the concept previously. Also, I took the LSAT after I graduated, so by the time I returned to ask for LoRs and have these conversations with my profs I had already decided where I would apply. If your professors influenced your decision, then of course you should list them. But in my case, I don't think TLS and the Cornell Law brochure count as "individuals" lol.comeonletsgo wrote:professors at Cornell? comeonletsgo: Not sure if this is what you meant, but I was actually thinking of listing law professors at Cornell whose work I admire, but I'm not sure what the app means by "influenced." If it turns out it means "personally suggested," and they contact the profs who have never heard of me, I'll be in trouble. So I'd rather not risk it.

yeah, i agree with you. it's just a very strange topic to require a responseLavitz wrote:iMisto: Yes, really lol. The name "Cornell" was never uttered in my conversations with my recommenders. "Influenced" is vague and ambiguous. Use that to your advantage.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
