Where in the e-mail/attached packet do you see whether or not you received the Dean's Scholly invite? I don't think I received it at first glance, but I admittedly didn't look very hard!

It says in the email in the first paragraph. It actually takes up quite a lot of the email.dsn32 wrote:Where in the e-mail/attached packet do you see whether or not you received the Dean's Scholly invite? I don't think I received it at first glance, but I admittedly didn't look very hard!

Still nothing. I'm getting anxious... should I call or something? I don't want to irritate them.

You guys know how they decide who gets the Dean's scholly invite? Do they automatically send it to everyone with an LSAT/GPA over a certain point, or do they send it to us based on less tangible factors as well (like essays)?

With that much money at stake, it is almost certainly a combination of GPA/LSAT and softs/leadership potential.JedBartlett wrote:You guys know how they decide who gets the Dean's scholly invite? Yeah, I can personally vouch for it not being based solely on LSAT. It's gotta be a combination of all of the above, and I doubt it's automatically sent to anyone.WhiteyCakes wrote:With that much money at stake, it is almost certainly a combination of GPA/LSAT and softs/leadership potential.JedBartlett wrote:You guys know how they decide who gets the Dean's scholly invite? All the admits so far have been no-doubters: above both medians (and well above one), URM, or splitters with amazing LSATs. There's plenty of time and room for the rest of usiMisto wrote:Still nothing. I'm getting anxious... should I call or something? I don't want to irritate them.

I almost wish I hadn't heard back so early. I've become spoiled by the brief taste of victory and it's making the wait for all the other schools feel interminable.

No worries, I'll take that right off of your hands. Trade you my complete application, last updated 10/19, for your acceptance. Done and done. No give backs!helix23 wrote:I almost wish I hadn't heard back so early. I've become spoiled by the brief taste of victory and it's making the wait for all the other schools feel interminable.

I don't think Cornell does ED. These acceptances should all be EA, which all RD prior to November 1st is.gate08 wrote:Congrats, everyone! Are these acceptances RD? I just went complete today so, you know, the wait has just begun.

Not wanting to be bothered to fill out an application for a full ride at an Ivy league law school that just accepted you seems like the firstest of world problems.
Who knows if it's rolling but better safe than sorry, just fill it out and get it over with!

You should. Give them a taste of what they'll be dealing with once you get there. They'll appreciate the warning.iMisto wrote:Still nothing. I'm getting anxious... should I call or something? I don't want to irritate them.
Or maybe not.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
