Was there a thread somewhere that had all of the deposit deadline dates? I thought I saw it once and now can't find it.

It got buried by all the new threads, but here it is.

Since Cornell's deposit amount is (kind of) low I am wondering how many t14 hopefuls will deposit there just in case while staying on different WLs and/or waiting on decisions from other schools

The reserve email said late May, but it was more like early June according to last year's thread. I think there are a lot of people still waiting on their first decision.

I was strongly considering double-depositing at Cornell and also at my first choice and only recently decided not to. For me, Ithaca was a turn off when I had choices in bigger cities/towns. I feel like for a significant amount of people Ithaca may just not be for them and they won't do it, which is good news for people with Cornell at #1. It's certainly a great school and wasn't an easy choice.

I am waiting on a scholarship renegotiation but doesn't look like I'll get it as I already have a decent amount of $$. I'll wait right up until the deadline and then let it lapse. Should free up a decent chunk of change for someone here, I hope.

Still waiting on the T20 school (in CR2) that should provide something to negotiate with. Should I wait for after the deadline to bring this up (when I actually have the offer), or try to negotiate now? I don't mind eating the deposit if it's a better strategy. All I have right now is UCLA w/ no money and UCI with just short of a full ride.

Are you faxing the deposit info? If you're mailing, I know it just has to be postmarked by the 26th. I don't know about faxing but I'm pretty sure anytime should be fine.

and all their so called deadlines always use words like "on or around".

Um...I'm letting the deposit deadline lapse (only recently decided against Cornell and figured it won't make any difference how they find out at this point), so technically you can put me down for that withdrawal today. A decent amount of $$$ back in the pot. Good luck y'all!

Since it's just a postmark deadline, they'd figure it out sooner and be able to redistribute your $$$ faster if you shot them an e-mail.

Then again,

I withdrew earlier in the week. No acknowledgement from them on that front, but also never heard about FA. So..lawls all around?

It'd be easier for me to claim it makes a difference if Cornell were more responsive to the withdrawal e-mails they receive.
