I'm wondering if we think this was just some random set of offers or if this was all the ones they cared to make.

Maybe they're going in alphabetical order? In my mind everyone they've responded to has a last name starting with A or something.

I'm a B. So based on a sample size of one, I'm going to say you're correct.

Possibly. Anyway I'm glad to see they are working on them this morning, hopefully they get everything out soon.

Yay! But oh boy... they have a long way to go until they get to me (assuming they have goodies for me too). I thought the days of having to stand longest in line because of my last name was over with high school!

I'm not one to counter whatever you need to tell yourself to get through the next few days (weeks?), but I'm solidly in the middle of the alphabet and got my aid package yesterday.

I hope you're happy with yourself. You just ruined a stranger's day on the internet. You have to live w/ that now.

He didn't ruin my day. Now I'm telling myself that he is a very special snowflake who Cornell loved so much that they couldn't bear to make him wait, and so moved him to the head of the line despite him being solidly in the middle of the alphabet. 8)

See? Delusion is good sometimes.

It may be something as simple as the analyst/officer who handles your file is on holiday for Persian New Year/Passover/Easter/Spring break, etc.

Gender aside, you're probably right. I all but included a watermark of the Ithaca Is Gorges logo on my application. They love me.

Oops! Sorry to have called you 'he.' And thanks for allowing me to keep my delusion to get through the next few days (weeks?).

Now is not the time Villanova.

Not liking my chances now that I see dsn's offer. I really like Cornell but oh well I guess.

Can't wait until this is over. I felt a surge of hatred towards my own sister for not being Cornell when she emailed me just now.

Mercifully, gmail directed the Villanova email to junk mail. Even though I did still kinda hope that it was a Cornell email offering me $105K that was diverted to junk mail, so I'd still prefer if Villanova had opted not to email me.

For those who received their offer:

When did you submit your materials?

Thank you!

Ah, if it isn't the delusion killer again.

Couldn't you let us have our fantasy that they were up to people who submitted in January?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
