Application Deadlines:
JURIS DOCTOR (J.D.) DEADLINES

Regular Decision: February 1 (all application materials due, decision usually by no later than mid-April)
Early Action (non-binding): November 1 application due and November 15 (all application materials due for a decision by mid to late December)
Transfer Deadline: July 15 (all application materials due)
Application Checklist:
- A complete application
- Law School report from LSAC (with transcripts and LSAT scores, and recommendation(s) if using the LSAC Recommender Service)
- Personal statement
- Diversity essay (optional)
- Two letters of recommendation (if sending directly to school)
- Two completed LSAC evaluations (optional)
- Completed dean's certification/recommendation form (if necessary)
- Application fee ($80)
Early Action:
WHAT IS THE EARLY ACTION PROCESS?

The Early Action process is a non-binding, early notification process. In order to apply through the Early Action process, you must:

Submit the application form and fee by November 1.
Make sure that your file is complete by November 15.
We will mail out our decisions by mid to late December.

DO I RECEIVE MORE FAVORABLE CONSIDERATION IF I APPLY THROUGH EARLY ACTION?

We apply the same admission standards during early action and regular decision processes. However, the Early Action applicants are the first applications reviewed, which means more seats are available at that time.
Fee Waivers:
DO YOU GRANT FEE WAIVERS?

We will consider a waiver of the fee upon receipt of the following information:

If you are a registered student, a copy of your most recent financial aid award notice showing both budget and award
If you are not a student, a letter detailing your financial situation (e.g. employment, assets, etc.)
If you were granted a fee waiver from LSAC, the fee will be automatically waived when you apply using the LSAC electronic application.

Fee waivers are generally granted only to those extremely needy applicants who would not otherwise be able to apply to the Cornell Law School.

We will consider your request for a merit-based fee waiver if you are registered with the LSAC Candidate Referral Service. Should you be selected to receive an application fee waiver from us, you will receive an email and letter in the mail and the fee will be waived in advance for you in the LSAC system. If you receive a fee waiver from us after you apply, please follow the reimbursement procedures on the back of the fee waiver letter.
If you were or currently are a participant of Teach for America, please send us a copy of a letter verifying your participation.

App went live today. Doesn't really matter for me, as I'm taking the LSATS in Oct, but it's something nice to look at in the meantime.

Checking in. That last quote in the OP is interesting. I wonder if we'll see any noticeable increases in scholarships this cycle.

Would love to know the breakdown among the $25M. Hey it could be used to attract strong candidates and push up those medians. Who knows though?

Probably Late November at the earliest. I'm assuming it would be seen with the EA apps.

I was under the assumption that they wouldn't accept apps until September...is that not correct?

You may submit your app. Whether they begin reviewing it now or not is another question.

Is Cornell considered to be a school that's worth sticker?

That would probably depend on your family's disposable income/net worth. I really don't think it's a yes/no answer because it's largely how much YOU value your education.

Just double checking on this...It appears you can apply EA Cornell, and also apply ED (binding) to another school. Is that right?

YEPPERS! EA is non-binding, and is just a way for you to get a quick decision. You can still ED to other schools.
