Did anyone notice that tuition next year is going to be over $50,800?

Tuition increases 3-3.5% every year, unfortunately.Rory19 wrote:Did anyone notice that tuition next year is going to be over $50,800?

I did. Was WL'd 2/15, invited to group interview 3/1, submitted LOCI 3/15.lovemunich wrote:
Yes, I knew all that already. If you read my question, I was wondering specifically if anyone had a group interview after they had been placed on the waitlist, and what sort of outcome they had from that. If someone else could answer this question for me, I'd really appreciate it.
And to answer your question, no, I haven't heard anything from them since.

It went pretty well and Dean Cornblatt said we would hear back within a few weeks (pretty sure everyone I interviewed with was also waitlisted). It's been three weeks and I still haven't had any updates or heard anything from them. I'm hoping to see some movement after the first deposits are due.lovemunich wrote:Yes, I knew all that already. Hey LoveMunich, I was asked to interview in early February and was placed on the PWL a few days before my interview date. Like Stone_Fox, I haven't heard anything since my interview (end of February). A lot of people who hadn't gotten a decision prior to interviewing have said that they've had date updates on their status checker after their interviews, but I haven't had any yet. I hope this helps, good luck to the both of you!

I submitted my LOCI today. I really wanted to get one submitted before April 1, when I'd imagine the first set of spots will open up.

Acceptance letter arrived today, dated 3/25
"preferred waiting list" email sent 3/15; my reply on 3/15 was acknowledged 3/19
Glad to not have to ride that wait list for too long! It may have helped that I asked for a quick reply to avoid forfeiting a large deposit somewhere else.
Good luck to everyone waiting! Thanks to everyone who has shared their info and fed my compulsive TLS data-gathering/application comparison

Via e-mail. And amen to that. So, in closing, I'd like to give big ups to God, Buddha, L. Ron, whoever. Hell, maybe I just need to thank me. If there's one thing I've learned through all my adventures and conquests of this application process at Georgetown, it's that some people are just wired for success. I had no choice when it came to being great. I just am great. I'm not trying to sound cocky or full of myself, but Kenny Powers has a sneaking suspicion that no matter what comes his way he will always be great. Because that's just the way shit works sometimes.mehh wrote:Sorry, man. How were you notified?ironbmike wrote:Rejected. Applied in Jan.

Do they ever send out a notification that you aren't getting a scholarship?
Or is it just radio silence forever.

Yes. In it they repeat "at this time" over and over as if they're going to offer money later.WaitingandHopeful wrote:Do they ever send out a notification that you aren't getting a scholarship?

Accepted via tiny envelop today. How long does it take before I can access the Accepted students website? I can't log in now with the credentials the electronic system sent via email...

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I got an in-person interview invitation on Mar. 6 from Georgetown.
I immediately said that I would be more than willing to do it, and it took about 2 weeks to get an e-mail from an alumnus.
We set a date for interview, but he had to cancel b/c he was busy with his work.
Several days have passed since then, but I haven't heard from him yet. So now I do not even know when I would do an interview.
In another time, I would not mind waiting, but I am getting nervous as April approaches.
I think that it would not be really good for me to wait forever for this interview b/c the school might be filling the spots with other students while I am waiting for the interview. And I assume that it would also take some time for the school to go through my application even after the interview.
So I was wondering whether I should just ask the school to go on with the review process or wait for the interview.
Any opinion or suggestion on this would be very helpful. Thanks!
