The consensus seems to be an individual, alumni interview means you are a borderline candidate while a group interview invitation means they are gauging your interest for YP purposes. However, I got the feeling at my group interview that Georgetown is really about trying to learn about their applicants as much as they can aside from the written application. Just my two cents.
Hi, what does YP mean?
Completed earlier this week, got group interview email invite 3 days later.
I have no idea what this means and I'm pretty nervous. Any comments or thoughts by anyone who has been through the group interview for DC locals would be greatly appreciated.
Yield Protect. Its the theory that someone gets rejected from a school because their numbers are high enough where the school thinks you will get into a better school and not go there. They do this to protect their yield. So theres a larger percentage of students they choose choosing them
Pm me with specific questions for the group interview. I conducted one in NYC with Dean Cornblatt, I'm assuming thats who yours is with as well.
