In regards to solicited fee waivers:

I tried (unsuccessfully) to solicit one after my June LSAT. I had a 167/4.0.

I retook in October and now have a 170/4.0.

Is it worth trying to resolicit or does that look bad??

Congrats to everyone accepted so far! I am a big fan of Georgetown and will be applying this weekend.

I got an invite for a NYC interview too today...for the day after Thanksgiving when I won't be in NYC....

I know they say at the end of the email that this won't be detrimental to your application...but can anyone shine some light on what the effect of not going is?

It sounds like they send the emails out to candidates who are within a certain radius of the event. It's totally understandable if you're not going to be anywhere near NYC, doubly so since it'll be Thanksgiving.

As long as you write a reasonable response, it really won't be detrimental.

I received my invite literally mid-flight, and learned of it as I turned on my phone after landing halfway across the country. I just told them about my circumstances, and from the looks of it, they started reviewing my app as soon as they got my response and I got in a few weeks later.

Good luck!

Did you guys get any instructions in the mail packet? All I got was the acceptance letter and some info on an info session. I didn't recieve anything on how to actually enroll if I decide to do so.

Nope...I haven't gotten an email either. All I have is the letter itself and the open house invite.

I've had I think 4 updates, and my last one was 10/31 - I completed 10/7 or so... I'm wondering how long it took you guys to receive your acceptance in the mail after the last complete, because maybe it's just taking them a long time to send me a letter. I am out of the country, after all.

I got an email saying the admitted students website will be up in late November. I am betting that's when the real fun starts.

I have an interview this week and am pretty nervous! I am hoping the interview means that I am in consideration. Anyone know what the interview is like?

I am at 3.98 with strong softs but a 163. :/

Third update today, I hope the theory is accurate or it is going to be a long week.

I was 10/31, 11/7 and 11/12. I think there was only one instance of letters taking an obscenely long time to arrive after the third update. Does anyone know what form a rejection or WL might take?

No idea but I think it's still early for those. As far as I know, they have only been sending acceptances so far.

I had my interview today but it was a group interview. In our interview he split us into two groups, gave a scenario, and we met back to discuss. It was fun. Nothing to be worried about!

What do you guys mean by updates? I applied very recently, but I assume it's something that shows up when you check your status...

Hmmm I haven't been tracking but I think I probably have the same dates. I got my status check email on 10/22, so I'm guessing I went complete around the same time. Status checker now updated as of 11/12. Hope we hear back soooon!
