Third update today. Hopefully this means an acceptance letter comes before the Mayan calendar brings doom.

Somebody get me up to speed. I've had three updates, the most recent being December 3rd. I've never been invited for an interview. What does this likely mean?

Forgive my lack of desire to read through 45+ pages, but did anyone opt to do the optional video?

According to the three update pattern, your acceptance letter is most likely in the mail A lot of people have received their acceptance letters without being invited for an interview.cwid1391 wrote:Somebody get me up to speed. decision (whether that be acceptance, deny, etc.) is supposed to come via snail mail after the 3rd update, but there have been instances where people have gotten a decision with less than 3.cwid1391 wrote:Somebody get me up to speed. in terms of interviews, there are two types: alumni and group. General consenus for alumni interview is that these interviews are for borderline candidates. Criteria for group is a bit more muddled. But it seems like it tends to target those who may be borderline or YP possible. If you haven't gotten one, i wouldn't be worried. plenty of people have gotten in w/o one.

Thank you for this! I didn't want to have to search through the whole thread. So I should expect a decision, but not any particular decision. I suppose living in California means I'll be waiting 7-10 business days, lol.djwjddl wrote: decision (whether that be acceptance, deny, etc.) is supposed to come via snail mail after the 3rd update, but there have been instances where people have gotten a decision with less than 3.

I think only acceptances come via snail mail, with WL and dings via email?djwjddl wrote:decision (whether that be acceptance, deny, etc.) is supposed to come via snail mail after the 3rd update, but there have been instances where people have gotten a decision with less than 3.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Went complete 11/28
Updates on 12/5, 12/11 (as far as I can remember)
I didn't even check my status between 11/28 and 12/6, and now I'm kicking myself because I don't know if there was an update between that time period. Therefore I don't know if this is my second or third update. Rough life. They should make this easier for us to be paranoid on.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Are there any ED-ers who already have decisions out there that also had an alum interview?
I had my interview a week ago, and am wondering what the timetable is for a decision. The FAQ pdf that came with the interview invite noted that "there is a chance that a final decision may not be rendered within the (3) week Early Decision timeframe," but that "[o]nce the Admissions Committee receives your Alumni Interviewer's evaluation, a final decision will be rendered in a timely fashion."

Is the Alum interview really for just borderline candidates? I got an invite with a median GPA and a LSAT above it.

For those of you who have received letters, did they send it to your current or permanent address?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
May be a little late to be beneficial now, but you should check out Law School Status Check. It syncs up all of your status checkers into one app and then checks them at once (you can set it to check hourly, also). This is cool in and of itself but it also keeps track of the history of your checkers, so I can click GULC history and it shows me the date of each status update in the past. Pretty nifty. I just checked my status checker and my last update was today (12/11). I applied to both the full and the part-time program, and until today it said "Both" under program time. Now it says "Part-Time." Is this a sign that I have been accepted to the part-time program?
