Also, I know that last year's thread indicated that WLs come in the form of an e-mail. Can anyone that has applied this year confirm is that is still true for this cycle? I want to know if the status checker updates and we didn't get an e-mail...should we be expecting good news or could we still get a WL or rejection in the mail?

Also curious about this.

You can definitely get rejected by snail mail. Not sure about waitlists this year.

I haven't been checking the status checker very often, so I apologize if this is an ignorant question:
Does "Application Completed" mean they are done reviewing my app, or simply that the app is "complete" in terms of requirements.
Does the above indicate that I should have a accept/reject in the mail within the next couple of days?

I sent in my application on Oct. 15th and went complete on the 18th.

Application completed just means that they have all your materials and are now starting the review process. It will stay "complete" even once they make a decision, which you will get in the mail. Also the acceptance letter comes in a very small envelope so don't be discouraged if you get one. Good luck!

Had my interview last night, not what I expected at all. Basically I went in and talked to a guy (probably mid-late 50's, maybe early 60's) who had attended GULC way back in the day and whose son went there now; he had volunteered for the interviewer position since there was nobody else in my area doing it. It was less an interview and more a conversation about law school; I didn't get any of the "why law/why Georgetown/what programs" kinds of questions, although I mentioned my answers to some of those anyway--it was more like talking to an academic advisor. From the couple other people on this thread who have talked about their interviews I don't think that's typical, but if any of you are in smaller markets like I am something similar may happen.

On the plus side, I think it went well, so we'll see if it helps.

The same thing occurred in my interview but I am in Chicago.

I sent in my app on 10/9, interviewed on 11/2, and my final status update was on 11/6/12. I haven't received any letter in the mail yet and I don't know how badly I should be freaking out right now.

Did you only get one "complete" update or were there multiples? I'm assuming the former or else your decision came really quickly! Also did you apply ED?

My Gtown application turned "complete" today! I had a group interview with Dean Cornblatt back in October. I know I should just read back in this thread but I'm lazy and it's long... Sounds like people are doing individual interviews with alumni? Are they invite only? Instead of or in addition to the group interviews some are doing?

I was an ED app so they had to get me in 3 weeks, which they did, exactly. I went completel on 10/1(1st), then again at like 10/9 or something (2nd), and finally 10/17(3rd and final). I was never invited for an interview. There is a rough correlation for the 3rd complete being the time of your mailed decision, possible 4th if you did an interview. They do not have any statuses besides received and complete and you will at least have a few updates on complete before you get a decision.

I just kept checking every day I don't think there is any other way to know.

It was, and I am glad I knew it was coming in a small envelope. Definitely was still nervous it could have been bad news, though. I'm in upstate NY. Are you an 11/12 update?
