they do, I'm waitlisted too and about 10 days after I heard I was invited to a group interviewpuppiespaws wrote:So I was placed on the regular WL about a month ago. Does anyone know if they still try to do group interviews with people off the WL? The wait list email said they'd contact me in May to see if I was interested in being reevaluated, and I assumed then would be a good time for a LoCI. But my cycle isn't going too well, and I want to make sure I do all I can... Do you think it's worth it to send that LoCI now?

Went to the ASW this week and I must say Georgetown does a pretty amazing job of selling you the law school. The campus is stunning and the students/faculty were very nice. Also just got an $25,000 scholarship offer; hoping I squeeze a bit more out of them!!!!

Does anyone have info or stats on likelihood of getting off the regular waitlist?

WHAT is going on right now? If Gtown loses today it's really going to mess up my bracket.

Just saw my country of citizenship ("USA") added to my status checker info section. No change to date (still at 3/20). Is this a definite sign for acceptance?

In via mail (postmarked 3/19) yesterday.
Complete 1/7. Denied request to interview, but stated I maintained interest. Above both 75ths.
I won't ask about scholarships having read through some of this thread.

You should ask. I didn't get anything from them about scholarships like other people did and I just kept asking for info and bothering them for weeks. My scores are around the median and I ended up getting nearly full tuition in scholarshipswert3813 wrote:In via mail (postmarked 3/19) yesterday.

I thinkt they'll start re-dolling the money after some withdraws happen.

Has any1 had any luck with getting scholarship off spwl, or any wl for that matter? Was admitted 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing about scholarship or not. Under both medians but have offers from ucla (90k) vandy (80k) and cardozo (full ride).

When I was waitlisted last week, the e-mail said I would receive another e-mail in April/May asking me to reconfirm my interest. However, I just visited this past week. Would it be okay to send an loci now, should I wait until they ask for one, or send one now and one later?

Already sent one email asking about fin-aid info a couple wks ago, was basically asked to keep waiting and maybe hear after April 5th. Above medians and with significant offers from higher ranked schools but still interested in attending Gtown if the price is right. Is it worth pressing them again, or would that just be counter productive?

I can't say this enough to people in this thread. Always be pro-active. Georgetown loves people who take responsibility and show their interest by taking action. There's no way it can hurt youSteelPenguin wrote:When I was waitlisted last week, the e-mail said I would receive another e-mail in April/May asking me to reconfirm my interest. Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Sorry to hear that, Rory. Thanks for the update. At least you still have your fantastic aid package, and the impression I got at the January ASW was that even for those not in PILS, the OPICS Fellows program and other PI opportunities at GULC are still very strong.Rory19 wrote:For all those waiting on PILS, I just received my no thank you e-mail. Has anyone here asked GULC for an extension on the 4/1 scholarship deposit deadline? If so, do you mind sharing here or via PM as to how (and who) you asked and what response you got? Thanks!

If I had my in-person alumni interview back on 3/15 and still haven't heard anything, do you guys think it'd be reasonable to shoot GULC a LOCI?

Has your review date changed at least? To me 10 days seems a little impatient but it is later in the cycle. i do know the reviewer has to submit their form and when they do that your review date changes. If this has not happened yet it could be your alumni is slow sending it in.PRgradBYU wrote:If I had my in-person alumni interview back on 3/15 and still haven't heard anything, do you guys think it'd be reasonable to shoot GULC a LOCI?

Status checker officially says "application completed". Submit super late (last Friday). Anyone want to take a guess when I should hear back?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Weird....
Did my alumni interview on 3.18, Status date changed twice on 3.20 and 3.25
did not receive any decision letter yet.
But got the PILS "no thank you" letter today...
it said "the pool is comprised of students to whom the Law Center has made offers of Admission"
Could it be that I'm in already.........?
Hope I'm not interpreting too far..!!!

Check your status checker - does it show your country of citizenship already (I'm assuming it'll say USA). If it does, then it is most likely that you're already in!lilMiao wrote:Weird....
