How long did it take for most people to get complete? I sent my app 12/21 and I am still incomplete. They did send me an email 1/2 to give me their status checker info. Most schools on my list are already complete for a week or more. Cornell and Mich and the only one left I believe.

Also, anyone here has any advice with visiting prior to a decision. I that hat you can schedule a visit this will include a meeting with someone from the admission office. I am wondering though if it can have any impact on the decision (For perspective I'll be coming in from Seattle just for them as there's no other school in the area I can visit) by showing real interest etc?

Michigan is a huge reach for me but I am a non-trad URM with good softs and an interesting story. I don't mind spending some money and get to AA if it will help me to actually GET to AA.

I got the "we haven't decided on your application" letter this past Thursday. As I am out of school, I have no change in my GPA or LSAT score to update Michigan on. Is it worth it to send Michigan an email stating something along the lines of I'm still very interested, or it would serve no purpose? Moreover, I can also send them another (5th) lor, but not sure if that would have any effect or not.

Still unsure what it means - the spirit is "we don't have enough info on some aspect of your app to make a decision" but it ends on "don't feel it's necessary to respond with more info." Wut.

Right -- and I don't think it would make much sense to send a letter without significant changes in personal information (I'm in the same boat). Any insight? I'm sure they see enough of the BS "I love Michigan and this is why I still want to come" letters

Congrats! I am surprised to hear that you were accepted on a Saturday, is that right? I was hoping my weekends would be somewhat free from checking to see if there's been any movement

Also, sorry for those who have been rejected so far Who knows if I will be joining that list shortly! My status is still at incomplete, but it says last updated January 14th. I know nothing is missing so should I not bother calling them. I don't mind waiting, I just don't want to unnecessarily delay things.

I've got nothing. No significant status changes, already submitted all of my good recs, and have no Why Michigan substance to add. Thinking I'll roll with it and let the chips fall where they may... *braces for WL*

It means exactly what it says. They are still working on your application. You haven't been waitlisted, they don't need more information, and you aren't necessarily in some informal "hold" pile. The email is just meant to be a courtesy. Relax

As far as weekends go, it seems Michigan changes your status but you don't see it until it updates the next days so this person was likely admitted on Friday but it didn't change till Sat.

This is of course speculation on this threads part. But it is obvious Sats are fair game with Michigan but Sundays seem to remain safe
