Updates every day. Don't worry, this happens literally a hundred times per cycle in the Michigan thread.harveyfan wrote:Sorry!! Didn't mean to be rude - I'm not familiar with the michigan admissions process and was wondering if it was similar to Georgetown's, where you get three updates (normally) before a decision.Gisney wrote:harveyfan wrote:01/24 complete and 01/29 complete. how soon should i expect a decision?
Dude.
My apologies for being an a-grade d-bag.

My partner started a Ph.D. at U of M. We decided here partially b/c of the great law school as well.az21833 wrote:sorry to hear that. you moved to michigan before getting in?dawnrose wrote:REJECTED yesterday and got official letter today. Huge bummer, since I moved across the country with my partner here hoping to get in. I've heard in the past some people get rejected with a note urging them to apply again next year...Has anyone else gotten this? Wondering if I should wait a year or accept at a different school (I really, really want Michigan).

Sorry to hear. I have slightly better stats than you so maybe my rejection is still "in the mail" but i am a recent alumni/former V athlete and Michigan resident, so maybe that will give me a lift. Still praying it does. Best of luck on the rest of your cycle!.dawnrose wrote:My partner started a Ph.D. at U of M. @dawnrose, that sucks. I hope it all works out for you two in the end. My partner and I are both applying to grad schools right now and we are hoping to go to the same school - UMich is one of our top choices but neither of us has heard back yet.

For those who have been admitted, how long did it take for financial awards (Dean's scholarship in particular) to appear on the admitted students website?
Thanks

Re: Michigan (AKA Hogwarts) c/o 2016 Applicants Thread 2012-2013
I'm trying to wait til I receive the housing info in the mail (so far just the letter and the follow-up email). But I'm super antsy about it. I did visit UM last weekend and spoke with an admissions officer who told me that it's best to get it in as soon as possible.VeeD101 wrote:From those of you that have been accepted and maybe intend to stay at the Lawyer's Club, have you submitted your application already? I believe its non-binding and while I'm not decided on Michigan a 100% I'm thinking of emailing it in to secure the room of my preference.
Thoughts?
She told me some fun stuff about the renovations, if you're interested.

In via status checker! Nothing about money, though, is that information included on the Status Checker or does that information come out later?

1Ls were in a mandatory professionalism meeting when the email got sent, too. So there was a section of students who were just freaking the fuck out.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
