Nothing since going complete mid-September.HawkeyeGirl wrote:Has anyone else not heard anything? I've been radio silent since complete on 1/8...
If you look at LSN, seems like there's at least a handful of early January applicants still waiting, and even a few from December. I wouldn't lose hope yet if I were you!

I'm nerdy and calculated that 16.6% of folks on LSN are still pending (excluding those that have withdrawn, incl it's 19.9%). 25.5% have been accepted, 30.7% have been Waitlisted and 23.9% have been rejected.PGOAT wrote:Nothing since going complete mid-September.HawkeyeGirl wrote:Has anyone else not heard anything? Interesting... wonder how many of those are September submits. Honestly though, I've kind of maxed out on anxiety, at least for the time being. Per the website, they give all on-time applicants decisions by April 15, so just hanging out and waiting for my WL/ding.HawkeyeGirl wrote:I'm nerdy and calculated that 16.6% of folks on LSN are still pending (excluding those that have withdrawn, incl it's 19.9%). 25.5% have been accepted, 30.7% have been Waitlisted and 23.9% have been rejected.PGOAT wrote:Nothing since going complete mid-September.HawkeyeGirl wrote:Has anyone else not heard anything? 3 are September submits, including you. 7 October submits. These people could have also not updated their status, so it's certainly not a perfect calculationPGOAT wrote:Interesting... wonder how many of those are September submits. Also, is this a good waitlist year? Predictions?

I don't know. The waitlist seems pretty massive with all this YP business. Has UVA always been this crazy with the WL offers?wannagotolaw wrote: Also, is this a good waitlist year? Predictions?

Yes, I think it is a consistent trend and not simply an anomalous year. My impression is that UVA has historically had large wait lists.JXander wrote:I don't know. Waitlisted earlier in the month.
LSAT: 166
UGPA: N/A - attended a college that used narrative evaluations rather than grades
Non-traditional: 9 years out of undergrad (had successes in my industry, but not law related)
ED, submitted at deadline
Wrote Why UVA.
Applied last year and was waitlisted then as well. I got into some other places that would have been acceptable, but with the waitlisting at UVA I figured it was worth waiting a year to have another shot.

Application submit (finally) and under review...
..is UVA just waitlisting everyone? That's all I'm getting from LSN.. why on earth would they do that? They just want to be able to wait and see everyone and then admit their perfect pool at the end? It seems like they risk ending up with an odd group of matriculants if they put off letting anyone in until the last minute.

First deposit deadline is next Friday, so there's a good chance they're waiting to see who puts down deposits and there will be movement after that imo

They're known for waitlisting heavily in general. Making people work for it increases their yield, which helps their rank.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Application submit (finally) and under review...

Definitely frustrating, though.

So can we assume that anyone who hasn't heard by now will be waitlisted/rejected? April will mark a little over three months since I sent in my app.

WL a month ago--might be too late but sending in LOCI now since they're definitely my top choice. Any thoughts on whether they prefer email or snailmail?

Any word on second-round scholly decisions? Thought they were supposed to be out this week, but given how UVA's been playing this cycle, I could seem them coming out a day or two before the deposit deadline and being like, "Good luck using this to negotiate anywhere else!"

Just withdrew. It was the best financial option I had but it came down to me being a silly kid whose wanted to live in NYC for the last 9 year's of my life.
Goodluck everyone.
