Applications are now being accepted.

NOTE: UVA gives out both solicited merit and need-based fee waivers. I received my merit-based waiver on July 25, 2012. TLS user danitt received a need-based waiver on August 15, 2012.

Application Instructions: http://www.law.virginia.edu/html/prospectives/jdapp.htm
-Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score (or GMAT score if applying for the J.D./M.B.A. program, if the applicant wishes).
-Transcript of prior academic record, submitted through the Credential Assembly Service (CAS)
-Two letters of recommendation
-Personal statement(s) and résumé; additional personal statements or any other addenda may be submitted.
-$80 application fee
-Application for In-State Educational Privileges, if seeking classification as a resident student
Important Dates: http://www.law.virginia.edu/html/prospectives/jdapp.htm
We will begin receiving applications for the J.D. program on Sept. 1, 2012. Applying on or before March 1, 2013 guarantees that we will issue a decision no later than April 15, 2013. Applications will be accepted after March 1, 2013 and reviewed, but applicants are not guaranteed an admissions decision by April 15.

Note: They also give solicited need based fee waivers. I got one this morning by just emailing and asking for it.

What's your rationale for that? I'm looking at all three and I would actually lean away from UVA, probably because I want to work in NYC and UPenn has proximity while Mich has a slight edge over Virginia here.

Those two campuses look amazing though, and in different ways.

If you aren't already sold on a school, why are you EDing? Just curious

Oh got it. I misread, thought you said you were apply ED somewhere rather than sometime, but that makes sense. Hope it works out. I think your LSAT gives you a shot, so in your case ED works well.

I have a bunch of friends here. Every single one of them LOVES Charlottesville, which surprised me. It seems like a nice place, but there's a big difference between "Ya, I like it here" and "Oh my goodness this place is amazing!" All of them (okay, so it's only 3 people) were of the latter sort.

Great info about application fee waiver. I just emailed admissions and they replied back within 5 minutes with an application fee waiver code... $$$

Checking in, plan on ED'ing with 3.88/165. Solicited a fee waiver by shooting them an email.

Woo! Excited to apply to UVA. I'd be extremely bummed if I didn't make it in here.

Sorry. just saw this. It's mostly for aesthetic reasons, and I know a handful of people of went to V for undergrad and said they absolutely loved Charlottesville. In terms of NYC biglaw, Penn is definitely the best choice, but I think for DC and clerkships, V tends to do better than its peers (I think). I think the Michigan campus looks incredible, but I have no real draw there (though I am applying there and would take it over V if they offered me more $)
