Haha absolutely. My numbers are 172/3.57, though I am a VA resident so I am sure that helped out. I went complete 1/8 (sorry for those who have been waiting months).hohenheim wrote:Aren't you glad you didn't ED?ncc5 wrote:Got the call today. In RD after only 10 days

And the waitlist email comes in!
I was expected a rejection because my low LSAT.
Already sent an LOCI and will update them with new accomplishments of undergraduate mediocrity and hope for an offer off the waitlist.

Waitlisted. Our final decisions will come in "May, June or July." And they will send update e-mails every week "starting in April." This seems very late. Final decisions to come out in June or July? Some of my deposits for other schools are required before that.

Alright, so I gotta say I'm a bit disappointed about getting waitlisted (172, 3., is it possible I got yield protected or is that just too ridiculous?

That's why waitlist decisions don't come out until then. They have to wait to see who from the admitted pile takes their offers.WalkingPlato wrote:Waitlisted. OK, I'm so confused. I am literally exactly at each of their 75th percentiles, I wrote a Why UVA, had a UVA specific LOR and am complete as of 10/16. I've heard nothing, and when I saw people were getting WLed today I expected myself to get that email as well. Am I the only really early applicant who has STILL heard nothing? I'm considering visiting and/or sending a LOCI.

I don't know, tbh. In my opinion you seem like a lock for a full-ride. A LOCI might be premature, but maybe send an e-mail asking about a good time to visit the campus to show your interest.Eichörnchen wrote:OK, I'm so confused. I would die of happiness if this happened. At least I know I'm not crazy or overly confident to wonder what's going on here. I wanted to visit and may try to, but between taking off work and the expenses of gas and hotels, it might not be worth it ifNoodleyOne wrote:I don't know, tbh. Didn't apply as early as you did, but I submitted in early nov and have heard nothing. I didn't do a why UVA, and I also haven't visited, so I'm sure they don't think that I'm really interested in the school.

it might still be coming. it looks like we have identical numbers and i got a full ride. i doubt your headed to WL with why uva and uva specific LOR, i would just give it some more time. they are probably debating scholarship $$$ vs. $$$$ internally

FWIW, I don't think UVA's closed for MLK Day today, as someone at financial aid replied this morning to an email I sent over the weekend.

seriously, I know y'all are anxious, but in what lifetime would you think UVa would not be closed for a university holiday on MLK day. (a quick google click confirms that the Uni is closed.) That does not mean some folks go into work, but it is an official University-wide holiday.
