Hahaha in retrospect that post looked pretty absurd. Just got the e-mail an hour ago. I work across the hall from a partner, took everything in my power to not start jumping up and down and shouting. Might have overcompensated as a result

Yeah Reserve is Columbia's waitlist. Traditionally very few people have gotten off the Reserve list because Columbia also has a Hold category from which it draws borderline candidates before resorting to the reserved people. Columbia doesn't like rejecting people, and reserves a TON of people, so the odds of getting off reserve are not too favorable in general.
