Did they consider the Duke offer?
no idea if they actually considered it. there's no way to tell?

maybe i wasn't being clear, but i stand by what i said. i submitted a merit-based scholarship request and was denied last week. what i've received is today is purely grant money. apologies for the confusion.

I sent mine in without that information and they've been able to match it to my file. I did write my LSAC number down, though.

Also for those wondering, I called the financial aid office and they will be providing the admissions office with the names of candidates who haven't received aid decisions by May 1st and you won't need to deposit until you have that information.

I felt better getting this in writing, but it is definitely a thing.

EDIT: spelling, yikes.

Thanks for letting us know! I've been trying to reach the FA office to ask this same question for the past few hours.

how in the world could you miss that lol. that's like casually using a winning lottery ticket to wipe up a spilled drink.

and SIGH to the reserve wave. I don't want to read a reserve letter. I'm going to cancel my e-mail account. Try sending that to me now CLS. Who in charge now, CLS, who in charge now?

Did you call and tell them about the deadline? I'd been panicking all week about it, but they came through this morning. It seems like they're churning the last of them out today?
Yeah, been calling. Just keep getting the "your file is still under review" spiel. It's a little frustrating because I actually submit all my materials almost a week before the march 1 deadline. I can't figure out what's taking so long.

I'm lazy and my email forwarding from my "professional-sounding" email address to my "email address I made when I was 15" is all fucked up so I have to check it manually and I always forget the password. I'm a mess.

Would Columbia ever LOWER your grant if you asked for more money? I figure its worth petitioning for more even if I get shot down, but not if theres any chance they'll look at another offer and bring theres' down in relation.

We are most likely reserved although a ding is always possible. But after reading the timeline of last years applicants thread I'm not getting my hopes up. Anyone else planning on riding out the reserve? A few people did get off it last year (mostly reverse splitters, 1 splitter, and a URM).

I've already called this week - I asked when deferred EDers will hear back and was told by the end of the month. Best of luck to everyone still waiting, and congrats again to those who have recently gotten in!
