Which means that, since 2 days would be a Sunday, you get it on Monday with the rest of usshntn wrote:Oooh, Philly is nice and red.

Oh I assumed they were talking business days, that the red folks would get it on Monday, and the rest of you would get it on Tuesday.cwid1391 wrote:Which means that, since 2 days would be a Sunday, you get it on Monday with the rest of us JK, none of us are getting into CLS.shntn wrote:Oooh, Philly is nice and red.
And yeah, that's making the HUGE assumption that anything is actually coming in the mail at all.

You may be right, I have no idea how the postal service works. I just find their maps.shntn wrote:Oh I assumed they were talking business days, that the red folks would get it on Monday, and the rest of you would get it on Tuesday.cwid1391 wrote:Which means that, since 2 days would be a Sunday, you get it on Monday with the rest of us JK, none of us are getting into CLS.shntn wrote:Oooh, Philly is nice and red.

You got one? Congrats! And yes, that's how it's always been in the past.Alassio wrote:Another NCE sighting in Manhattan!
Do we know for sure whether the named scholarships come with this initial offer?
Also, that map is for mail originating in Long Island, as indicated by the fact that LI is blue while NYC is red.
ETA: You can also see the list of scfs here and it shows that scf 005 is in Melville, Long Island.
I imagine it's still a good estimate for everyone outside NYC though.

VCE! I'm in lower Manhattan.
It is a big white envelope with a blue folder inside. The letter inside the folder was the off-white that a lot of thicker letter paper is, but there was nothing in the package that could be called vomit colored. I guess we probably should start calling them NCEs.

Thanks, Lavitz! I suspect yours will arrive on Monday.Lavitz wrote:Congrats, ared!
Nothing in my mail, unfortunately Then again, I'm in an outer borough.
They were a really awful vomit color in years past. This is the first year of NCEs I believe.amsong wrote:ETA: I really don't understand where VCE came from. That's just manila!
Thanks, subtle!subtle wrote:ETA: Congrats, Ared! Hope to see you there this fall!
Yeah, that's what I meant. There's no actual postmark stamp on the envelope, just the electronic stamp with the date of January 24. Seems likely that they were actually sent out on the 25th, since intra-Manhattan mail tends to take just one day.biiyis wrote:FYI, I believe the "postmark" date referred by aredhello is merely the date the envelope was run through Columbia's electronic postage stamping machine. Most likely it was actually postmarked Jan 25 2013 and received today. Just wanted to clarify this point.

Says I'm not authorized to view that page anyway, so I'll assume either a WL, ding, or no decision.banjo wrote:Yeah is it just the last four digits of your LSAC # or SS # or something?Anonymous4444 wrote:Anyone accepted know if the pins are random numbers are have some significance to the applicant?

Also says I'm not authorized to view the page, and my numbers are basically a lock (173+, 4+). Why, CLS, why?shntn wrote:Says I'm not authorized to view that page anyway, so I'll assume either a WL, ding, or no decision.banjo wrote:Yeah is it just the last four digits of your LSAC # or SS # or something?Anonymous4444 wrote:Anyone accepted know if the pins are random numbers are have some significance to the applicant?

Maybe you are admitted and this is just a good sign? Maybe they don't open it up until Monday? I don't know. I'm trying to figure out some way in which I'm getting into CLS.edamame wrote:Also says I'm not authorized to view the page, and my numbers are basically a lock (173+, 4+). edit: Can anybody that hasn't gotten the letter yet access the Admitted Students website (or the page where it asks for your PIN) from WITHIN MyColumbia?
