can anyone explain what accounted for what seems to be Chicago's largest jump in GPA median since 2009 (3.81-->3.9 this past admissions cycle)? This is quite interesting given last year was considered a "down" cycle.Do you think the gpa median will be lower, the same or higher than last year's?

Rubenstein scholarships. It will likely remain the same this year, as this is the last year of that program.

Yeah... there isn't much we can do here but wait, unfortunately.

Chicago had 2 announcements last cycle in December: One on 12/20 (Tuesday), and the second on 12/29 (Thursday). So hopefully that means we will hear something on 12/18 and 12/20 this year. (This will be mostly for ED applicants, of course.) Unfortunately, because Chicago started doing interviews this cycle, there is no telling how that will affect the normal notification time-line. They have promised to let ED applicants know by the end of the year, however, so it is just a matter of when that will be.

2 cycles ago, first wave of ED admits occured @ around 2:30 on the monday of the 3rd week of December.

3 cycles ago, first wave of ED admits occured @ sometime in the afternoon on the monday of the 3rd week of December (althought I can't seem to locate exact time).

My bet is on this year's announcement starting next monday after lunch (12/17) barring any delays due to Chicago's newly implemented interview program like Regulus mentioned. Just keep an eye out on twitter as Chicago has been known to announce their decision release date there.

I sure hope the announcement is next Monday.... I haven't been able to sleep as of late because of all the anticipation / anxiety.

I wouldn't worry about trying to resuscitate this thread right now because it will just die again over the weekend. However, it will automatically resurrect next week when the early decision results start going out.

Also, I meant the EARLIEST would be Tuesday, but could come later in the week. Wont be monday according to my source
