Sorry to hear that, from LSN it looks like a small wave of rejects just went outMicdiddy wrote:Rejected. I can't believe any school that would accept ElTerrible would deny me. Huge loss on their part.

Blergh, these rejections are bumming me out. Sorry for rubbing salt in your wounds, but can those rejected post their stats?
Seriously afraid I'm about to join your ranks.. app certainly went through review like the wind.

I'd say I'm sorry to hear the news, but that would be too disingenuous even for me.Micdiddy wrote:Rejected. I can't believe any school that would accept ElTerrible would deny me. Huge loss on their part.

They kind of had to, didn't they? They only just got to late January admits and they need to get decisions out pretty soon. It's a week into May.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Blergh, these rejections are bumming me out. Sorry for rubbing salt in your wounds, but can those rejected post their stats?

My condolences everyone. I'm afraid of this bloodbath.
Edit: Waitlisted.

Waitlisted. I don't understand why they are still adding people to their waitlist.

Waitlisted. (Cue GIANT sigh of relief.)
That's what I was hoping for; application was crazy late, and neither my GPA nor my LSAT were particularly impressive. Hope my June LSAT and a passionate LOCI help me defy the odds and get an acceptance. I'll be holding my breath until the first day of class.
ETA: Is there a Chicago waitlist thread yet?

Waitlisted, not surprised due to late app but is it worth pursuing even with my nu scolly?

Too early to say "I told you so"? Maybe but seems like acceptances were not forthcoming per the above. What do you think Lavitz?Mal Reynolds wrote:How could you possibly know that.jbagelboy wrote:Decisions do come out late, don't expect much before 5PM CST.
If Chicago has an admit wave today, they will over-enroll. This will be interesting. Good luck all

If you think you can repeat the absolute best-case scenario from last cycle by getting in off the WL and using the NU scholly to get 105K from Chicago, then yeah: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/foxylaxyFlowBro wrote:Waitlisted, not surprised due to late app but is it worth pursuing even with my nu scolly?
I have a similar scholly from Cornell and this possibility is the only reason I'm staying on the WL. I'm not going to stay on until the end of the summer though.

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Seems like no acceptances--at least not yet. If they don't accept anyone then they're either over-enrolled already or they somehow managed to hit their target exactly. I suppose there's also the possibility that they have a few seats open but weren't impressed enough with anyone in the pending pile and will now re-review the entire WL. Still seems pretty bad for the WL folks.jbagelboy wrote:Too early to say "I told you so"? Maybe but seems like acceptances were not forthcoming per the above. In any case, if you originally meant that you were predicting no admits because you speculated that they had already reached their target and that doing so would make them foolishly over-enroll, then yes, this would mean that your speculation was correct. But saying that they could not possibly admit anyone without over-enrolling depended on facts we couldn't know at the time.

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
No because you didn't make any accurate claims, you idiot. This doesn't mean they over-enrolled and it doesn't mean there won't be more acceptances. Most important of all though, I just had a problem with you saying things pulled straight out of your ass. That is still true regardless of what happened this wave.jbagelboy wrote:Too early to say "I told you so"? Maybe but seems like acceptances were not forthcoming per the above.
