Be positive. We don't have to worry about an email coming today! At least
we can relax now and wait for tomorrow.
HILARIOUS.
I assure you I won't be relaxing. I despise the rest of today for keeping me away from tomorrow.

Last year's February wave on LSN doesn't look too good. Still mixed decisions, but lots of rejections... A lot more than in January. Still hoping for the best but not too optimistic

I'm wondering if this year's waves can be compared to last, given that interviews were added this year.

As someone who will probably end up in the March wave, that graph is incredibly depressing.

Just counted on LSN:
Jan 2012:
76 Accepted
58 Waitlisted
18 Denied
Feb 2012:
22 Accepted
26 Waitlisted
18 Denied
Not sure if this year is going to follow last year, given the interviews, but the January wave seemed to have higher numbers on average (or at least LSAT scores) than those of us who got our dates changed today, so a similar scenario looks plausible to me.

I wouldn't worry too much about last year - I feel like the interviewing process probably changes up the cycle quite a bit. I don't think any January admits this year submitted later than October. And surely there are plenty of qualified applicants who filed in Nov/Dec or later.

+1
Yea the interviews seem to have gone out mostly based on complete date and not numbers so you would think it changes things

Agreed. Haven't they admitted way less people this year as they did this time last year

Particularly with the yield trouble they experienced last year, I'm sure they switched up the process a bit.

I didn't know they had issues with their yield last year. That gives me a little bit of hope I guess.

BUT I did learn something interesting during the interview. Apparently the interviewer ONLY sees your resume before the interview and doesn't know the other aspects of your application. So if you're discussing something that relates to your PS make sure to give them a little background.
That definitely isn't true all the time. Dean Perry made a very direct reference to my diversity statement during my interview. She also told me my resume "screams law" so obviously she saw that too.
Lol she literally said the exact same thing about my resume, verbatim.
Anyways, I guess the resume thing may not hold true for everyone so take it with a grain of salt.

I didn't have the Dean, and I was asked a question specifically about my PS

So.... maybe she didn't get a chance to read mine and just wanted to make me feel better about it.... :-/
Edit: now I'm sad. I liked my PS too! Gr...

When I had my interview, I was told feel free to discuss the things that I have already discussed in the application because she has not read it. So I briefly talked about my PS and added the points I wasn't able to fit in the 2 pages in the interview.

Ditto on URs.
This morning I was on the south side, so I drove by UC Law and just sat outside for a few minutes pining.

My interviewer made some comments about my PS so that definitely wasn't true for me.
ETA: I wonder if a resume that "screams law" is good or bad?
