Just got my scholarship email - $75k! Really excited, but facing some tough choices.

I was in the 3/29 admit wave so I'm sure offers are going to be coming out to the rest of you soon! Good luck all.

Got the email too.

Anyone know to what degree Chicago negotiates with (significantly higher) Northwestern offers? I wouldn't expect a complete match but maybe a 2/3?

Thanks! I probably won't end up accepting it ... hopefully it frees up the aid for someone who really needs it (or I guess deserves it).

Received a $45,000 total scholarship from Chicago. Didn't expect money at all, and with my numbers I don't think negotiating is going to work. And I don't think it is enough to justify turning down $90,000 at UVA. :-/

What do you want to do? Personally, I think Chicago's worth 45k more than UVA.

IMO, this is particularly true if you want to go into academia.

IMO, this is particularly true if you want to go into academia.

I'm wanting to go into immigration, specifically in the non-profit sector.

I don't know about Chicago admissions at all, but I'd have to assume email. Snail mail generally equates to a slow response (because takes longer for them to receive it) and most people need to know asap about scholarships.

UR1 mid-march no interview invite. Does this imply anything? Also, if I am wait listed with no interview invite do I still have a chance of acceptance or are the wait list acceptances pretty much only from people who were offered an interview?

I would also like to know the answer to the second part of your question... I was w/l with no interview after a december submit and mid-march UR1. Put on the w/l 3/31
