Thanks! Congrats again!amsong wrote:Hm. I want to say towards the mid/end of November? I had an update date on 12/5 before I got a decision, but I'm almost certain I was under review before then. For what it's worth, I didn't write a specific "Why Duke" essay. I did write an LLM addendum, though, as I applied for the JD/LLM program.

Thanks.amsong wrote:10-day turnaround only applies to applicants who were invited to apply Priority Track (may also apply to Accelerated ED?)LeastCoast wrote:Apologies for not reading the entire thread, but there were mentions of 10 days, and my status has been UR for 24 days now. Was that to do with early decision? I was RD
As you applied RD and apparently not PT, this has nothing to do with you.

+1. I'm not as concerned about it as I was a month ago, but I'm no particular fan of it either.ChampagnePapi wrote:Getting ready to wave the white flag here. Been UR since 9/28

ED applicant checking in..... my slim chances make Duke (almost) an afterthought.

Just received the financial aid application email. I suppose it's unethical to apply for both financial and merit aid if I don't need it as much as others might?

No, let them decide what you do and don't qualify for. That's what the Need Access app is for.amsong wrote:Just received the financial aid application email. I suppose it's unethical to apply for both financial and merit aid if I don't need it as much as others might?

Me too. It doesn't look like many non-PT applicants have received decisions yet though.ChampagnePapi wrote:Getting ready to wave the white flag here. Been UR since 9/28

My PT application went complete exactly ten days ago, and there still hasn't been a change in my status checker. Has anyone had their status change late at night?

Are you counting the day the application went complete as day 0 or day 1? I'm pretty sure you count it as zero. So if you went complete on 12/6, then it tomorrow would be the last day. Not sure if that's what happened, but thought it might explain things.GatorFan305 wrote:My PT application went complete exactly ten days ago, and there still hasn't been a change in my status checker. I haven't quite gone through all 40 pages, but has anyone else gotten notifications that late? I saw a few 6:30s, but not even my status checker has changed. I should probably just give up and enjoy my Saturday night.postard wrote:It's not midnight yet, so it's not late yet.

I didn't get a decision on day 10, but I did get a response asking for more info. If you don't hear back by Monday, you should probably give them a call on Tuesday just to make sure that they have all the items in your app that they need.GatorFan305 wrote:I haven't quite gone through all 40 pages, but has anyone else gotten notifications that late? will be interviewing for mordecai--does anyone have thoughts on how to prepare, what they are looking for etc. beyond what's on the website? also am curious about invite/actually win the scholarship ratio if anyone has intel there.
context: initially wasn't planning to apply to duke because of my strong regional preference for the northeast (family is there), but came to feel really positive about the school after doing a little research/my limited interaction with them. mordecai would make this awesome of course!
hope everyone is having a good weekend and big thank you in advance. happy to answer any preguntas if you are interested in deets.
