What are your numbers?
A bit random, but on another board I remember a lot of people being able to log into NYU's site for undergraduate admissions to determine whether they were admitted or rejected. An admissions official from NYU actually left comments on the board chiding the applicants for "exploiting" the website. I find it funny that six years later the same issue exists, albeit for another school withing the university.Teflon_Don wrote:Yes I am, and can log into ASWBSC wrote:Are any of you DLS people 12/26 UR2 people??
Congrats!zabava wrote:Not sure about my dates, but 171/3.92, got a call just now, wooo!!!!

Did something very similar along with forgetting to capitalize law school in NYU law school in a later sentence, how bad you think this hurts?ksd2138 wrote:LSATSCORES2012 wrote:ksd2138 wrote:I'm really surprised you haven't gotten in yet... Think I just figured mine out. Reread PS and found "... applying for admission to New York University Law School."
Turns it out it's called New York University School of Law.
D'oh!
who knows, but not worth submitting a revised PS for.dummy1 wrote: Did something very similar along with forgetting to capitalize law school in NYU law school in a later sentence, how bad you think this hurts?
Yeah, not worth it. I forgot to pluralize a word in my DS for Harvard, to no ill effect.djwjddl wrote:who knows, but not worth submitting a revised PS for.dummy1 wrote: Did something very similar along with forgetting to capitalize law school in NYU law school in a later sentence, how bad you think this hurts?

Oh wait.
1) all that stuff can take a bit here. Our adcomm is kinda slow. Don't freak if it takes almost a month.az21833 wrote:Checking in. App submitted today after Dec LSAT.
171/4.0. Most likely will not get in due to late application and 167 October LSAT score, but you only live once so you do what you gotta do. Have spent a lot of time in the village, too bad that doesn't matter.
Couple questions...
1) How long does it take after submitting to get a received e-mail? And then how long until a complete email? Is there a status checker?
2) What type of timetable are we seeing for decisions? For me, should I be expecting an answer in March/April?
3) For those admitted, whats the status on merit aid? Do they provide it with your offer of admission? Or do you get a letter a month later? Do you need to apply afterwards for it? Excluding the ones on the app, of which I filled out none. I assume there is other merit aid.
4) For those admitted / denied, how were you informed of their decision? I'm still stranded from my apartment because of Sandy and USPS mail forwarding is spotty, at best. Any information at all would be appreciated.
Thank you all and looking forward to riding it out.
You seem very wise. Can I ask your opinion on the likelihood of merit aid for a 174 and 3.6? Do you have to be over both medians to get anything substantial?JamMasterJ wrote: BTW, you will almost definitely get in. You are at the median LSAT and way above the gpa median. The lateness of the app won't be enough to kill you and the school doesn't give a shit about multiple scores.
LOL I just go to NYU.ph5354a wrote:You seem very wise. Can I ask your opinion on the likelihood of merit aid for a 174 and 3.6? Also didn't realize they did this. Is there any way that this is negotiable, like the good academic standing requirement, or do you come across as too much of a dick if you ask for that?JamMasterJ wrote:LOL I just go to NYU.ph5354a wrote:You seem very wise. I would expect somewhere between 25K per year and 15K per year. BTW, they typically give a specified number for year 1 and 2 and half that for Y3 if you do private practice during your 2L summer and the whole thing if you do PI.
For instance:
20K - 1L
20K - 2L
10K - 3L
OR
20K - 1L
20K - 2L
20K - 3L
No idea. My best alternative offer was less at a lower ranked school. My guess is they would say no given the ~23K gap between PILC and private summering. The general scholarship amount may be flexible but you ought to treat the structuring as though it's a bonus for working in PI rather than a ding for working private.moonman157 wrote:Also didn't realize they did this.
