Congrats! Man, that is a pretty huge discount. Congrats to the Vanderbilts too -- wow.DistanceRunner wrote:Applied 1/14

Outstandingly quick turnaround by NYU. This alone makes me view them favorably, which could affect my final decision. Two thumbs up to NYU Admissions! Still waiting to hear from a lot of other schools, though...

Finally UR2, was wondering if they were ever gonna bother picking up my application again (UR1 1/2). Not particularly hopeful, but it's nice to see some movement

i would wait until u hear of NYUs offer first before you negotiate. they even email you if you don't get any merit aid and then you can reply at that time with your GW offer in hopes of getting something, although it will not garner much. in any case, submit fafsa and need and wait for NYUs email

I hope so, though kinda doubt it. I applied to two named schollies though so would be nice to hear something either way by the end of the month.hyjintherye wrote:I'm wondering if we can get that sweet DLS on our status check this week!aiaea wrote:Finally UR2, was wondering if they were ever gonna bother picking up my application again (UR1 1/2). I just felt like sharing that every day since I got into NYU has been a blessing. I can't believe my good luck.
I'm not even religious.

i was pleasantly surprised, and really interested in going to an ASW. I won't be going to an ASW until i have a $ offer on the table from them, though.

How long is the turnaround from submitting need access to hearing back about schollys? I'm pretty sure I would qualify for need, and maybe some merit, too (although if I'm correct there's no difference at NYU).

Seems to be pretty quick. A lot of people who submitted need access last Monday and earlier got scholarship packages on Friday.NoodleyOne wrote:How long is the turnaround from submitting need access to hearing back about schollys? I ED'd and live in NYC. I just love the village. I mean, I REALLY love the village. Walking around and breathing the air makes me happy. The buildings are so old, it's like breathing air from the 19th century. I think the city has zoning laws that don't let people put skyscrapers in the area. Also, my 1L friends are really happy there. I'm just happy.twinkletoes16 wrote:h_jane_w wrote:I just felt like sharing that every day since I got into NYU has been a blessing. I submitted my Need Access last week for NYU. Would it arrive by email only or by mail as well? Will we only be notified if we receive a deans scholarship, or will they let me know that they received my scholarship application either way?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I haven't gotten mine yet, but others have received theirs via email, and even if they receive $0 in financial aid, they still received an email notifying them that their package is ready. However, if you applied to a named scholarship, you may not receive your package right away.jbagelboy wrote:I submitted my Need Access last week for NYU. Just realized that with my 1/25 update I reverted from "Under Review" back to "Complete." Now today I got another UR. What does it all meeeeeean?risa wrote:UR update again today. Is a UR3 without a call a bad sign?risa wrote:Congrats, admits!
I only applied on Jan 20 and have already gotten UR1 on Jan 23rd and UR2 on Jan 24th. Is it normal for the NYU date to update everyday like Michigan's status check?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
