Sorry, I should have said, ASW. It had to have just been activated, too, because I had checked it (maniacally) about 10 minutes before.

IN!! Finally able to log in to ASW. Completely shocked. 170/3.7, deferred ED. And because, given my numbers and app history, some of this must have mattered: Very PI-focused app, 2 years WE, LGBT, Ivy undergrad.

Good luck to everyone still waiting, especially my fellow deferred EDs. Keep hope alive!

1/10. I also wrote essays for IllJ and Furman. So that may have something to do with the speed--having to get me through to the committees.

For deferred ED admits, did you UR dates change at all?

My UR date was stuck on 12/13 until last week when it updated out of the blue on 2/12 and again on 2/15 before switching to DLS on 2/20. Complete surprise, and I have no idea what made them go back and have a second look at my application.

I assume some NYU Law gods flew into the admissions office sometime last week, randomly picked my application out of the giant waitlist bin as a prank, and dropped it on a napping admissions counselor's lap, who promptly woke up, wiped the drool away, and said "Oh, wha? Alright, I guess we'll let him in..."
