I just got my admit call. I submitted my financial aid form earlier today and will keep you all posted on what I hear back. I doubt I will get need based aid as I have not qualified for it at any other school, but I will try to push for non need based aid.

For what it's worth, my stats are 3.57 170 and I did not submit a LOCI. I did say NYU was my first choice in my response to the initial waitlist email. My wording is basically what the previous poster just said.

Anyone (other than me) who went under review again this week not hear back? =/

Also Georgetown beats Penn and Michigan, and UCLA beats Duke and Northwestern by this ranking. Disqualified.

so it sounds like the next wave would probably be in early june.

also, would sending another LOCI come off as desperate? or should we just sit and wait?

imo do so only if you have not impressed upon nyu adcoms you would 100% fucking attend.

that's what's bothering me. i think its clear in my LOCI, but i didnt use any really strong terms like "100%" or "absolutely".

if i were you i would include absolute terms. drill into the adcoms mind that 'ok this guy we can trust on not to fuck up our yield"

I also am also under review, with an update date of today. Stats are 176/3.31/9+ years of WE. Non-URM. I live in NYC, so NYU would be a godsend. . .we'll see though, I've been WLed all over the place.

I (regular admit) got the UPS purple envelop a few days before the pizza box. Don't fret; the letter is proof enough that you got into NYU. Congrats!
