My condolences guys. Looks like Penn still got a lot of hate for splitters. They didn't seem to use their WL much last year, but maybe it'll be different this cycle with the further decline in apps.

With your numbers, there's only one conclusion. They think you're leading them on. Did you write a Why Penn?
Send in a LOCI showing them how bad you want it.
Profit.
I did not. I emailed them back asking for an on campus interview. I am a Philadelphia resident. If this is not granted, I will submit the Why Penn. Thanks!

Any difference between getting a WL via status checker and email?

Just for clarification- these are literally "waitlist" emails and not holds, correct? Thanks!
Edit: Nevermind. I just read it was a waitlist by status checker.

Hey all,
I've been seeing a lot of questions about "hold" status and thought I'd share this video that clarified a lot for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QMcD1oq3Dg

Held today. Submitted 11/05.
This seems to be different from a WL. Anyone WL'ers invited to,
"Thank you for your application to the University of Pennsylvania Law School. The Admissions Committee has completed its preliminary review of your application and has decided to hold your file for further review.
The admissions process at Penn Law is a deliberative process. Every file is read by numerous members of the Admissions Committee. As of this date, your file has been reviewed by at least two members of the Committee and we are impressed with your credentials. We are continuing our review of your file however, and thus have not yet rendered a decision."
This seems to be different from a WL. Anyone WL'ers invited to,
?"submit additional supporting documents, such as one additional letter of recommendation, an updated resume, or an additional two page essay on the topic of your choice."
