Hey so anyone else find that their Application status shows that there is no check mark for your personal statement and letters of recommendation even though LSAC shows that they were sent? Do they check them only when they look them over?

It says received and processing, so I imagine they haven't gone through applications yet. They've only been forward the materials by LSAC.

I have the same thing; I assume so.

How many people here are planning to use the 2nd Round January ED as a backup?

I'm considering it.

I am really hesitant to ED anywhere, but if I get nothing but waitlists......

Are you targeting CCNP?

CC RD won't come out till after the P deadline. I'm thinking if I don't get into NYU RD in December, then that's not a good sign for CC either and ED Penn might be the best option

I'm applying to CCN, but not expecting to get in. I would ED Penn or UVA if I was okay with attending at sticker, but I am holding out for UT w/ instate. UT typically has hated splitters, but they relaxed on that last cycle. So I feel like I have a better chance at the lower t14 than UT, but it's still my top choice as of now.

Yeah, ED scares me. I love Penn, obviously, but I ain't tryna paint myself into a paying-sticker corner.

Submitted my app RD today. You ever get to the point where you're like whatever with decisions? Not even a month in and that's where I'm at. In my mind I've settled on not hearing back until Christmas and it seems like I'm OK with that.

Either that or upping my meds is totally working.

Trying to work a Why Penn style theme into that one optional essay. I met a lot of great people on my visit last winter so I'd like the opportunity to make mention of them and the influence they had my decision to apply.

I did. I registered for CRS after receiving my June LSAT score and figured I was getting one later than some people.
I only recently re-registered for CRS when I heard about all the T14 swag people were getting. No fee waiver from Penn, though. I'll walk over on my lunch break one day and demand to know the reason.

I've already applied to everywhere except HYS and Berkeley, so fee waivers don't matter. I just got one and a nice note from Michigan in the mail yesterday. There will probably be some more before the admissions offices realize that I'm already done applied.

And yeah, I unregistered somewhere after the June LSAT and only signed up again like two weeks or so ago? The TTT spam was just getting a little out of control for me until I realized I was missing out on fee waivers and PT invitations.

It took me a while to go ahead with the decision but I just submitted my ED app now.

I never got a waiver (maybe because I signed up late for the CRS, or maybe because my GPA is middling) but decided to just get this one done regardless.

Applied last night at about 1:00 AM Eastern and got my "received" email this morning -- before any of my other apps that were submitted earlier. I'm impressed :)

Good luck everyone!

To you ED applicants -- did you write/are you writing the Dean Fitts essay?

I did. It seemed like a sort of different approach toward a "why Penn."

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
