congrats az!!! :]az21833 wrote:In via phone call!! so excited as penn has been a huge favorite of mine for a long time because of their amazing placement in biglaw which is my goal.
171/4, submit 1/4, received 1/7, complete 1/17, ur2 2/11.
Luckily, I have had a very fortunate cycle where it will likely take a wilson/levy for me to attend Penn but i am very much set on giving it my all if I get invited. Are invites via e-mail and how long after admission?
Thank you guys again!

Congrats to the folks who got in over the weekend and today!
Did anyone else from the UR1 2/7 group go UR2 on 2/15? I was complete 1/18, UR1 2/7. I don't see anything on this thread about status checker date changes from Friday.

I wasn't either. I'm confused by it! Penn is a reach so any abnormality makes me think the dream is over.LRGhost wrote:Similar dates, not expecting UR2 for a while really.steakandchicken wrote:Congrats to the folks who got in over the weekend and today!

Oh I meant I didn't go UR2. If you did I'd imagine it's a positive, though.steakandchicken wrote:I wasn't either. I'm confused by it! Based on all of your collective knowledge, do you think it's likely that Penn would match and/or compete with a $135K scholarship from UVA? Seems like only the named scholarships go that high, but just wanted to check.

When should we start negotiating for scholarships?

I believe everyone who has reached out to them with other offers has been told the information has been added to their file, and they'll hear about scholarships in March or April. I'd say, if you want to let Penn know your starting point ahead of time, send other offers now. If you think there's a chance Penn will beat your other offers initially, hold on and wait.JohnMarshall17 wrote:When should we start negotiating for scholarships?

Anyone else "held" and still interested in an offer? Any ideas on the timeline? They seem to confirm receipt of new materials right away, but tackle applications in infrequent bursts.

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
I was held on 1/25. I submitted an LOCI the first week of February, and last week I had a 5th LOR emailed to Dean Post. I called and asked about the timeline and was told to check back in a few weeks. I'm going to call again in 2 weeks. Penn is definitely one of my top choices. 173/3.35 with significant C&F record - I'm not expecting a decision anytime soon, but I have a good feeling about Penn.banjo wrote:Anyone else "held" and still interested in an offer?
