So how hopeful should I be about being on the waitlist? Going to send in a LOCI and an additional letter of rec. But I just need to curb my expectations based on the likelihood of good news.

Now that you mention it, how long is the typical wait between UR2 and a decision?

I'm guessing next week. I forget, but I think most of the schools I've been watching release decision in 7-10 days after the final UR date.

Nah don't give up hope just yet, the bulk of Friday decisions usually go out after 5PM EST (just my observation anyways). Good luck to y'all!

Nope. After 5PM if you look through Friday decisions ITT. The first ones reported vary from 1pm-4pm I think.

Rejected at 5:25 EST. UR 1/17. Thought I'd get the waitlist but guess not. Waited 4 and 1/2 months for that rejection.
